I seem to remember another short ILB with T'rex arms that was hated around here a couple years ago that went on to do well. He then retired of course once you took that team over but still had a good year for himself.

He didn't have the same athletic limitations.

Maybe but he was no athlete by any stretch of the imagination. And his arms were ridiculously short, like shortest I have ever seen on a prospect

If Boulware were as athletic as Borland, he'd be draftable, but he's not. He sees the game as well as anyone, but he just can't get his body there.

lol No worries. You didn't know. Thank you for complying. If it helps, Brantley was selected.

yeah lol - i realised i was spelling it wrong and couldnt find his name on the big board using the search function... so is this just for players who've already been selected?

Ah, that's understandable. Basically. We're essentially taking on GM roles, so we try to refrain from naming unselected prospects so that we don't lead others onto them as it would be somewhat self-defeating.

he was super-athletic, it was the thing that jumped out on film about him the most - his burst and the way he would slice through gaps was incredibly explosive - that's the thing that made him a borderline pro-bowl linebacker as an undersized rookie on a terrible defence which is crazy if you think about it

zane gonzalez, to me, in terms of drafting, is a lesser roberto aguayo which is saying a lot

I may have ended my draft early, but I'm more than happy with my 4 picks and I think I nailed exactly what I wanted to do.

Gareon Conley is pretty clean and should take on a big role early.  CB was my biggest need and I really wanted to give Damarious Randall more time at his natural S position.

I didn't need the immediate pass rush so I wanted Tyus Bowser, who can help me all across my LB while he develops as a rusher.  Considering how much Houston dropped him into coverage, I was actually impressed by what he did when he did actually get to rush.

Taywan Taylor is a personal favorite of mine and is my draft crush this year.  He was more of a luxury pick but I don't care because I wanted him.  He should slot in nicely as yet another weapon for Rodgers.

TE is deep but I was still surprised to see Jordan Leggett available as late as I got him.  I wish he showed more ability/desire to block, but he's a pretty good and consistent receiver despite not being super athletic.  Plus, I have the best blocker in the league as my TE2.

It has become too painful waiting on a turn and I didn't have a kicker.

Long waits between the picks have killed the game for me this year.

If we manage to do FFA, I'll spend my remaining stars, maybe take couple undrafted guys but this is pretty much it for me.

i really like what you've done in this draft

conley is my favourite value corner - as in take lattimore out and he's my guy at any pick beyond 20

tyus bowser is an interesting pick just because "he'll be learning from clay matthews" a guy who's done it inside and outside - a guy who can wreck it in the pass rush but also drop well into coverage and kind of play anywhere he's needed - just be put in positions to win snaps - or i would have said that if you'd kept clay matthews lol

taywan taylor i like as well as a guy who there's a chance they could boom and their floor looks like at least being a dynmaic complementary guy - like a 3rd/4th receiver as a floor and a dynamic number 2 as a best case is not bad value

jordan leggett is great depth as a number 2 tight end who can come in and pretend to block but run the seams etc.

Appreciate it. Everything actually went according to my plan which is crazy, but I'll take it.

Didn't know you were targeting a kicker. I would've traded you Novak for a late rounder.

No he was not, he was slow, had little burst, watch him run on film and tell me that guy is athletic. And if you think he is athletic pop in some CJ Mosley and Myles Jack and look at the difference. When I think of athletic linebackers I think of guys like Shazier or Jaylon Smith. Borland is not even close to that. Super athletic and Borland in the same sentence is just funny. The guy did most of his work against the run and held his own in coverage.

Damn. I was hoping Brown would fall into his projected range. I like him a lot. He may be limited to two-down duties, but he could be a terrific run defender. Wouldn't mind if the Ravens picked him up.

Borland may not have been extremely fast, but he was definitely bursty and quick in short areas. He was just considered too small with short arms. If he were a little bigger and had longer arms, he'd have been a potential first round pick.

There's no comparison between him and Boulware.
