I'd say the addition of Alex Mack has been the what's caused so much of the success

I think that'll be the big x-factor. Julio's a huge part of what they do and that's obviously not going to change, but the running game going forward is the big question (and whether they can replicate it without Shanahan). Like you say, you can't double Julio because they'll run down your throat, you can't stack the box because Julio will put 200 yards on you - and that makes them (much) better than the sum of their parts. There were some pretty terrible teams with Julio alone.

That has been huge but the Falcons had no running game post Michael Turner and no real defense for a while. Shanahan helped that a lot and some of the other O-line players helped with Freeman breaking out. Mack took that all to the next level on offense

Yeah I think the Falcons still have a good O-line but we saw our line drop off when Kubiak left and how much the Falcons line drops off could be interesting. Freeman and Coleman are both good runners though so as long as they don't hire Mark Trestman at OC and start passing every play they should still be good. The question is how good
