Defensive player of the year - Khalil Mack
Offensive player of the year - Matt Ryan
Comeback player of the year - Jordy Nelson
Rookie of the year (defense) - Joey Bosa
Rookie of the year (offense) - Dak Prescott

Does the fact Ryan is offensive player of the year mean that someone else is going to take MVP title? Because if it does - it would be a travesty of all travesties.

Ugh, what's the bet MVP's going to someone who mostly plays in Massachusetts?

And after their two young QBs showed the coach is the only MVP in NE?

That's the other reason it would be a travesty of travesties - that and the Ryan snub as you say.

If Ryan doesn't get MVP, someone call the police and report a robbery. I like the things Dak did but Offensive Rookie of the Year should have been Elliott. Cater too much to quarterbacks and RBs don't get enough credit.

No, not at all. It's happened (OPOY and MVP) several times. Newton is the most notable from last year. Peterson in '12. I think Manning in '13.

On a side note, Dak only won OROY because he's a quarterback.

Ah, OK. There's hope.

Jason Garrett is Coach of the year.... LOL. Garrett has been Head Coach for how long without a playoff victory? Dan Quinn in his second year has the Falcons in the Super Bowl but isn't deserving. Right.....

I believe they vote prior to the playoffs.

I'm actually okay with Garrett. Coaches two rookies to a 13-3 record and the top seed in the NFC.

Matt Ryan named MVP.

Well deserved. Now, if he can only make my day tomorrow...

In a decision that proves you can't take a week off and win employee of the month. Good to see justice prevail. ^_^

I'm afraid I've got some bad news...... Last 7 League MVPs have lost the past seven Super Bowls they played in that season.

Pretty good analogy, plus you can't be that important if your team goes 3-1 without you

This btw amuses me sometimes. I know it's impossible to prevent the MVP from winning OPOTY, because the vote is not public, but I really think the NFL should think of some way to change that. The MVP is almost guaranteed to be an Offensive Player, but at the end he is not necessarily the best in my opinion. OPOTY "only" rates outstanding play, while the MVP should be one who made everyone around him better and got his team somewhere. I know all those traits aren't exclusive to each other, but that sometimes bugs me. ^^
