Kubiak in the Front Office?

7 posts in this topic

Looks like Kubiak is itching to get back into the game.

Not sure if there is much precedence for this in the NFL but I would love to bring him back in some Front Office Scouting + Senior Offensive Assistant type role.  He can ease his way back in and helping with draft evaluations, NFL player evaluation throughout the season and sit in on offensive meetings + help with game planning.

To me it would be no brainer to add a familiar and most importantly extremely bright individual to the organization.

Let's reach out and get this done.

He said he's looking at gigs in College or in High School with far less stress and travel.

So no, this won't be happening.

Can't he just help out for home games?

1. I think he actually wants to coach, not study film and do talent evaluation.

2. As far as I know, he doesn't live anywhere near Baltimore. So why would it matter if he was helping with home games vs away games?

As far as I know, he lives in the Houston area. So the idea would be for him to work in the Houston area.

Since he retired without completing his contract, don't his NFL rights still "belong" to Denver?  That might limit his opportunities to college/high school.

I would think it would but maybe he could work with a college team or NFL team at a  under table level. He won't be official part of the team but  he will give his insight or ideas from time to time  .

It's not much of Kubiak's offense anymore. The OL scheme is going away a bit from his traditional ZBS and I feel that more elements to the offense are going to be added. Bringing in players that are a fit for what he sees desires in a offense that doesn't match up with what we want/do could backfire.
