This years SB halftime show

So we all know by now it's lady gaga. Not a fan of her music really or her attempts to be weird like madonna and call it art. But what are the odd's she takes the mic at some point to make a political rant where it's not needed and some mumbo jumbo rise up agaisnt oppression type talk?

The NFL will have to own it if she goes political. Thought I heard something bout Tony Bennett making an appearance with her.

I don't think she will.

Not overtly at least.  I was super impressed with her National Anthem last year. She had her hand over her heart the entire time.

Ugh, well I suppose it doesn't affect me since I always skip halftime shows. But i'm sure many of you guys will have to deal with this potential annoyance.

She's smart enough to do it in a subtle manner on Sunday, if she feels like doing it.

I think they should stop it with pop rock. Means this is Ringing Bros last year maybe they should perform halftime show with circus acts.

She's so unpredictable that she could do anything without a minutes warning. I won't be watching it anyway, sick of seeing the likes of her, Katy Perry, Madonna etc. doing the half time shows.

I yearn for the days the nfl starts doing halftime shows with metal bands, rock bands, dropkick murphys or the rezillos kind of stuff. No more top 10 pop girl stuff or coldplay.

Am I the only one who thinks she'll actually have an awesome show? She knows how to put on a bespectacle. I think it'll be worth watching.

She's changed so much over the years.  Her early work was so odd and it was meant to gain recognition.  Now that she made it, she transformed into an actual artist and an actual performer.  She's still a bit of an oddball and has her gimmicks, but she's a legit talent nowadays.

From what I've been reading  and some sites are encouraging her to do so, there's a chance she does exactly what you and everyone else doesn't want. She also was quoted as saying this....

She has the talent and potential to put on  REALLY GOOD  show. Lets hope she dedicates herself to her performance and not politics.......

I read an article that claimed that she is going to burn a poster of Trump. 

A) I say there is a zero percent chance that has ANY basis in reality.

2) No way she is doing that with the consent of the NFL

I'll admit that. She's very talented, probably the most talented performer we've had since Bruno Mars. 

If it's anything like Katy Perry Imma be scared.

There's no way I'm watching the show so I don't have a stake in this, but I could see her making some minor (if ultimately completely empty) statement that gets people's attention. Like a signature moment for the sake of having one.

What I'm curious about is how much editorial control they have over their show and what (if anything) has to be vetted by the NFL. And by extension, what happened with that wardrobe malfunction some years ago or what would happen if the NFL said not to do something (say they wanted to have Goodell doing Mussolini's salute or something outrageous) and the artist said "screw you I'm doing it anyway".

I thought she killed it.  I'm not even a fan of her music necessarily, but performance wise, she nailed it.  She's a performer and that's what she did so well.  I don't care that she was attached to cables, her jumping off the roof is insanity.

I think its time to end two things. The Pro Bowl and the Rock N Roll halftime show. Just go back to the traditional marching bands and 15 minutes its time limit. The Band must be off the field when 3:00 shows on that clock

The Purpose of halftime is go to bathroom take a break,,Go in concession grab a bite or a drink. Not to have some freak stage hollywood show. If you want to watch a freak performer then go to a concert.

If you don't like the act in the halftime show, you can always go to the bathroom take a break, go in concession grab a bite or a drink. Isn't it a good thing if not everyone is doing that at the same time? Less lines for you

Honestly I haven't really paid attention to most of the halftime shows, more fun for me to think about what we are going to see in the second half

The Ravens never have a good half time time at M&T Bank Stadium. It usually little kids playing football.

Wasn't that impressed by the visuals of the halftime show. (not like Katy Perry)
But the performance (and singing) of lady gaga was good (better than Katy Perry)

Let them have the halftime show, many people turn in because of it, there is a lot of memes/talk about it and you can always leave the room during if you don't like it

M.J. was the first Super Bowl half time show to go over the top.  Ratings shot through the roof.  Ratings means money.  Money talks.  The half time show is going nowhere EVER.

Well Ratings should be watched from the game. Not from a freak show. Better yet..why could they just get a comedian do a halftime show. Let a guy tell jokes in from of 75,000 fans. Thats what some rock concerts do to get the crowd pumped up.
