[News] Eisenberg: Tough Lessons Follow Super Bowl Glory

We are not the NE Patriots but we could still be a top competitive AFC team. Unfortunately, somewhere we dropped the ball. Whether it was drafting, coaching or QB play or a combination of all three, we are still a losing franchise after that unlikely SB run with Ray Lewis.

I wonder if our fan base would rather be the Cleveland Browns or one of the other
losing franchises in the NFL. Not Me.

Lol Ozzie though we could survive a whack to our depth chart because we had a franchise QB in Flacco😆

Flacco isnt Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, or Peyton Manning. Those are the guys you don't have to worry about because they are HOF QBs that make players around them better. Flacco always needs a lot of talent around him to win, especially on offense. We literally let the offense become a joke in 13', but Ozzie has at least tried to build it back up over the past few years.

The simple fact is if you win the SB, your players all believe they are SB MVPs and its because of them that the team got there, so they allow the bottom dwellers to pay them way too much and those SB winners get thinned out.

We lost too many key players after the SB win - retirement, FA, whatever. I think it was 8 or 9 starters. That's hard to overcome. Yes, some were getting older, but they had experience, knowledge and leadership. I think if we had not missed on some #1 draft picks, we would still be competitive, which would be quite an achievement.

Cleveland has been building draft picks and this year if their smart they will come away with Solomon Thomas and Dalvin Cook They don;t need Corner-backs or LT. .....BUT then I read this.today.....:.http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/browns-waffling-on-firing-one-coach-could-lose-another-to-jim-harbaugh/

I think you become the Cleveland Browns by comparing yourself to them to feel better.

There is nothing wrong with high expectations.

Jeez, looks like a true statement. And sad at that. I would say it's mostly a combination of the first 2. That's why I was surprised we're doing it all over again with ALL the same staff...........

It seems to me Ozzie puts together a good team and when these coaches come in after a short time win the Super Bowl it goes to their head. Instead of accepting the team like Brian Billick first did when he got here and ran with it they force their way. Yea Trent was not great but you at least let him try against Elvis. That broke the continuity. John had his so call mutiny. After John's SB they tried to make Joe the next Drew Breeze. A pass first team. Ravens don't need to "BELIEVE in running the ball" they need to RUN the ball and that,s how you fix Joe. It just seem strange Ravens get so bad after a Super Bowl win that they end up firing a coach.
