UPDATED: MESSAGE BOARDS CLOSING AFTER DRAFT   03/08/2017

After careful consideration, we have decided that we will sunset our message boards after this year's NFL Draft. Since we opened our boards a decade ago, the digital landscape has greatly evolved. While we understand there remains a smaller group of highly-engaged fans who participate in conversation in our forums, a significant amount of the dialogue about our team and our games has migrated away to other social media platforms over the past several years. Our message boards will remain up and running through Friday, May 5th, and will be removed on May 6th. We recognize that this change may upset avid members of our community. However, we look to utilize our time and resources to focus on how we can best connect with our fans across an array of digital/social outlets. If you are not already engaging us and other members of the Ravens Flock on our Facebook page, Instagram account, through Twitter or Snapchat, we invite you to follow us on those channels and continue to participate in our social communities. In addition, the commenting feature on our website articles will remain intact. Members will be able to continue using their boards account to log in and share their thoughts at the bottom of every news story. We’d like to thank all the Flock members and our moderators who have brought thoughtful conversation to this space and made our community great for the last 10 years. Ravens Social Media Hub »

Sad news. Hope Zach is okay long term

This team can't catch a break

I will say, I've met Zach a few times and you can tell that he's a very smart guy.  It sucks as a fan and a team to lose out on a young ascending player, but at the end of the day, you have to hope the best for him.  I don't doubt for one second that he put a lot of thought into this decision and made the choice that he ultimately felt was best for himself and his future.  I wish him luck.  I'm sad to see him go, but I'll never blame a guy for walking away to try to preserve his health.

Man this stinks. ILB was like the one position group where you could say we've got two legit, ascending starters and can lock it up for years.

Now a hole.

And for him as an UDFA just breaking out, never got the contract that couldve set his family for life. It's a shame. But, he proved he could make it from UDFA to NFL starter. I'm sure he'll take that same determination to his next endeavor in life and do just as well with it.

Smart move by, Orr. Neck injuries are no joke.

Good thing we have Myles Jack as next man up...I mean Correa?

He was a great player and a great man! Sucks to see him go but this young man has a future outside of football. Thank you for your time in B-more!

Looks like we're in the running for Rueben Foster.

Jack couldn't get substantial play time on the JAGUARS!!! Plus he's even more of an injury concern than Zach was. We aren't counting on Correa.

That is a rough blow for the team. But I do respect Orr's decision to walk away. A smart person knows when it is time to quit rather than risking a worse injury. He played with the best and was one of the best inside linebackers this year in the league. It takes a strong person to walk away from the game when playing at such a high level. Respect for him. Get well Orr and I hope this does not affect you long term.

It's a bummer. Zach Orr became one of my favorites this year.

Unheralded, underrated, and unknown, he still came in to grind and make plays every game. He played with fire and intensity, and I'm going to miss that. Not only that, but he became one of our smarter defenders, too. He could have been a legitimate leader going forward.

Wishing him the best in "retirement." I'm sure he'll find something worthwhile to do in retirement. He doesn't strike me as the kind of player that make headlines for the wrong reasons in retirement.

No he wont be making any sort of the wrong headlines.

He didnt make any of that 2nd contract football money. Unfortunately, he's gonna have to be a 9-5 grinder like the rest of us now. He wont have the free time and excess money that often causes those types of headlines.

It sounds like they discovered a neck condition while checking on his shoulder injury late in the season.

Now this makes perfect sense and fits in perfectly with what you'd expect. The news sucks but man what can you do. I don't blame him one bit now we just have another hole.

Best wishes to the young man and I hope he heals and things work out for him.

Tough to see young guys have things happen like this.  Sucks.  Kid could ball.

I wish him all the best. Sucks to lose a great player like Orr but his health has to come first.

New stinks for the team.  I also feel really bad for Orr, it must be pretty serious since he was about to cash in on a real contract.

I'm absolutely devastated as he grew to become one of my favorite players. I feel for him having to make that choice and walk away before his career took off and blossomed. Best wishes to you Zack.

He had just played his way into a lucrative contract as well. What a huge bummer for him, and for the team. Clearly he has to do what is best for his long term health. What a bummer. I'll miss that dude.

I can't imagine how hard it is for the player to make this decision. How hard these guys work to reach the level they are playing at is something we can hardly imagine - especially for a guy like Orr who had to scratch and claw his way from the ranks of the undrafted to being a starting player in the NFL. There must be real permanent injury concerns here if he's decided to hang them up.

Best of luck to you in the future, Zack. Forever a Raven.

Now, FO has another hole to fill.

Just wow.  Zach played phenomenal last season and its really unfortunate that his career was cut short.

He was one of our great gems tgat wouldve moved onto big things in NFL.

I hope he does well irl and wish him the best.  Hope to see his conference in an hr.

Wish him luck!

I haven't been on these boards in a couple weeks because there hasn't been much to talk about but when I read this this morning I was so disappointed I loved him and CJ together it's a shame but with that said he is replaceable I'm just happy it's not CJ or someone like that for what we asked of Orr he is replaceable

Really tough. You can tell Zach loves football, his whole family is into it. This must have been a really difficult decision and comes at a bad time, when he was on the doorstep of breaking out in the league and cashing in.

Best wishes to him, football can break your heart sometimes.
