Strong resume. Hopefully we can keep consistency up front. Offensive line can be an underrated strength next year if we sign Wagner and add a mauler at center.

i agree we need a mauler at center but hope we can retain zuttah if the price is right to be a mentor if we get one in the draft.

This guy is someone that will teach a system instead try to force it like Castillo. A guy that doesn't meddle and interfere like Castillo (according to preston) is a welcome edition.Roman is assembling his pit crew.

Never liked Juan Castillo.  The scheme he implemented seemed to take far too long to implement.  Players seemed to struggle with assignments.  Forsett was able to make it work but only with Kubiak running the show.

More change please- 8-8 ain't good enough next year!

Marty will actually be busy putting in HIS system (is that 7 or 8 different systems for Joe now), working on plays, working on the details and getting the best out of everyone. Joe needs a QB coach. Zorn was a good fit with Flacco and when he worked with Zorn he not only learned to slide, but he was more effective moving in the pocket. I am not advocating for Zorn, I am just saying how Flacco has benefited with a QB coach. With Kubiak he had Periani, Zorn didn't last because cameron felt like his toes were getting stepped on so they released him and the Cameron shortly afterwards.

Joe needs someone to focus JUST ON HIM. What he is doing good what he is doing bad, coming up with solutions for the bad and ways to improve on the good. Let Marty know what Joe is excelling at and have him develop plays to take advantage of those skills. Marty is OC now and needs to focus on becoming good at that, let a QB coach work on all the issues that Flacco needs to work on.

Word Up!!!!! I was throwing out Zorn and Kubiak's guy for the longest since they both worked well with Joe. It's a lot of things can work on which would be great if we brought in someone that would focus only on him.

Exactly... Joe has poor fundamentals and the new OC apparently made no effort to correct the problems. Joe is pleased that the Ravens (or the HC to be precise) decided to keep Marty because he will not be getting the tough love that would be necessary to make him a better player.

Unless Ozzie really nails the draft we will be fortunate to be 8-8 again.

Especially if those 2 & 3 rounds from last year turn into a Perriman. You see them once in a great while.

Well, we'll see how good he really is. I just want to make sure that Stanley and Alex Lewis and any other new draft picks are taught well. The one thing Castillo was supposedly good at. Before anybody starts guffawing please note how well our rookies played last year.

The article says: "They have not always employed a quarterbacks coach, as Offensive Coordinator Marty Mornhinweg will be the primary voice to Joe Flacco."

I sure hope they get Flacco a QB coach, because the way I see it Marty didn't do a whole lot for Joe over the last two yrs. as his QB coach as far as his technique and fundamentals go.   When coming off a bad knee injury where his main focus was rehab, and playing behind a less than sharp O-line this season (due to movement along the line based off injuries) Joe developed some bad habits in technique that need to be cleaned up and he needs to re-focus and sharpen his skills.  He needs a strong QB coach to do that and Marty isn't it, imho.

Couldn't agree more.

Don't know much about D'Alessandris other than what's noted here. Wish him luck and hopes for building a beast of an Oline.
