The PLAYER GAME

13 posts in this topic

Its offseason, and we comment and speculate, and complain, but to do something different and fun,  I have dubbed this thread, The Player Game.

The way it works, is name your Player, if this player was smart, he would ________and fill in the blank, as to what he should do in the Off Season to get better.

So I will give you an example.

If Correa was smart, he would work on his pass rushing skills or work on setting the edge better  this off season to get better, and get on the field more.

Have fun with it, maybe it will shed some light on stuff we are seeing.

If Perrimen was smart, he would try to spend a lot of time with Flacco to work on timing and routes  this off season to get better and make a bigger impact next season..

Depends on what role you actually think Correa is going to play for this team. By all accounts, he spend a lot of time at MLB, so setting the edge and pass rushing wouldn't be as important to him as a MLB.

I see him as a hybrid, like AD was. Hes not taking CJ's or Orrs spot, and our pass rush needs to improve. If I was him, I would be trying to win Dooms spot

Agreed. Focus on 1 or the other- and right now pass rush is what we need desperately.

If BWill was smart - He'd take a hometown discount. :D

Really though...

If Moore was smart - he'd hit the juggs machine everyday this off season.

Yes. And he was touted as a high motor guy, 2nd round pick for cripes sakes, isnt this what our coaches should be doing, developing guys with raw athleticism and speed, and teaching them how to get to the Qb? So if I was Correa, I would be training this offseason with the best retired pass rusher I could find. It can only help the team, and his pocketbook down the road.

I would like Harbaugh to watch tapes of guys like Belichick,McCormick,Arians,Carroll on when to go for 2,proper usage of timeouts and challenges and just better himself at situational football (like take pts or go for it).

If Webb was smart, he'd renegotiate a more cap-friendly deal to help both sides.

If Perriman and Moore were smart, they'd spend a LOT of times on the JUGS machine and workng out with Flacco to get their timing

If Flacco was smart, he would spend time gaining chemistry with receivers and focusing on his fundamentals; footwork, etc.

If Lewis was smart, he'd watch a lot of tape of Yanda and learn how to become a dominant guard.

If West and Dixon were smart, they'd work their butts off this offseason to prove they deserve more carries (since it's pretty much been said that we want to bring in another running back)

If Reynolds was smart, he should spend a lot of time fielding punts and kickoffs to show he is ready to be a returner next year.

IF Waller was smart, he'd work on his blocking and watching tape of premier TEs to learn intricacies of running better routes, etc.

If Boyle was smart, he'd keep himself clean so he's available next season.

If Pitta was smart, he'd learn how to block before Boyle or someone else takes his job.

If Ozzie was smart,

He would be going to more College games than just Alabama, and actually watch his 1-3 round potential picks play in person, then rely on tape or scouts opinions.
