Most people outside of Baltimore don't realize how much the Models did for football. But we know.

Wow! Clearly one of the main architects of the Baltimore Ravens and its identity. May you RIP sir! Seemed like a wonderful and humble guy indeed. Good people tend to leave early.

great man behind the scene; really appreciated what his father did to the Ravens nation and really appreciated what David did and follow his dad's footsteps to keep the Ravens nation in good faith. Every good house starts with a great foundation and the Baltimore Ravens started with great foundation from Art and David Modell.

RIP

Thanks for letting all the Ravens Roosts and Nests have their picture taken with the Lombardi after Super Bowl 35, and thanks for speaking at Ravens Nest 9 Bowie's Meeting on the way to DC.

Shame he did not get to see his Dad put in the HOF considering he was one of the founders and Cleaveland jerks still saying stupid crap. I still say Theo stadium should be called Modell Stadium.

THANK YOU, to the Modell's for transferring their Cleveland team to Baltimore. They were a class and respected organization and it still remains that way. Although the Ravens have a couple of down years, I'm grateful we have them.

Thanks again, Art and David

He will never know what good he and his father did for Baltimore.

Hopefully, he did know what his family did for Baltimore.

We had an opportunity to meet David Modell years ago after a game in Arizona. The stadium security saw what die-hard fans we were and led us straight to the player area, where they met with their families before heading to the airport. Mr. Modell came over and visited with us for several minutes, even "reminiscing" with my husband who was a lifelong-Browns-converted-to-Ravens-fan. So sweet and genuine. May he rest in peace.

Already posted condolences on previous article but watched the Final Drive video on David Modell and have to say once again...thank you David and your Dad. This from an old Johnny U, Moore, Berry, Ameche, Marchetti etc Colt fan who gave me and charm city another chance to show our love for Baltimore football. The winds of time will never blow away the memories of that and the gratitude of the city. RIP.
