As one of those fans who got to hold the Lombardi with David, all I can say is "Thank you."  I will cherish that picture forever.  David worked tirelessly to build the fanbase and "connect" us to the team.  It would have been far different without him.

Very sad news. Sincerest condolences to the Modell family and their legion of friends.Without him and his Dad Baltimore would be without a pro football team and be worse off for it. A class act who will be sorely missed. His charitable work tells it all. May he rest in eternal peace.

This is sad news for us all. David was a good person who had an enormous amount of affection for this organization and us fans. He has left us way to soon. My deepest condolences to family and friends.
