Better tackling this season.

Overall, I definitely noticed a major improvement in tackling this season. I saw more team pursuit to the ball and better tackling in open space. Guys like Orr, Weddle, Young, CJ and even Webb were excellent IMO.  The tackling did fall off the last few games ESPECIALLY defending the run but overall I was pleased by their ability to finish the play.   

I guess not having Elam on the field helped.

Definitely better than last year. Man, i wish ravens D could tackle like seattle's. Every time i watch seattle's game, their players are just so good at shedding blocks and tackling properly.

I do think it fell off a bit the last few games but for the majority of the season I would have to agree. For the first time our corners could actually tackle. I swear for the longest time corners were just a waste of space in run defense and when receivers had the ball. They would fall over like dominos.

It's crazy how much the defense improved when the players actually tackled... it's like... the defense relies on the players to make plays.

I'd say tackling is the prime reason we were the top defense for a good stretch. We swarmed like madmen to the ball
