Not too sure about that one Mom. With a new HC coming in, it's not uncommon to see the whole staff scrapped, allowing McDermott to choose his own staff. Now if Reed had ties to McDermott or Frazier, I could see it as a possibility but, since he doesn't, I suspect he'll be left on the outside.

I think it depends on what that coach thought of Reed when he played for us.  He just may see him as an asset to their secondary.  Just sayin.  It's gonna depend on how that secondary, specifically the safeties played with Reed there last year.  I haven't looked at their stats for the season with him there.

I wonder sometimes if Reed isn't coming to Baltimore because his relationship with Harbaugh isn't all that kosher. Especially the fact that Reed led the players revolt a few years ago to call out Harbaugh. Just saying...

I don't know, do you really think Ed controlled the locker room enough to "let" the players revolt. The way he publicly dealt with all of his contract negotiations I'm not sure he cared too much about keeping the peace. I'd have an easier time believing Ray held the team together when players had issues.

Bye Felicia!!!! Secondary was atrocious this year!!

Are you kidding? Thats cuz Shareece Wright was on the team...for some reason?? And we don't want to get a shut down corner for some reason. At least Frazier finally helped create turnovers

"And we don't want to get a shut down corner for some reason."

"Not wanting" and "not being able to get" are two different things. To suggest we don't want one is silly.

If we wanted one we would spend a 1rst or 2nd on one, or pay up in free agency

Yes I do believe Ed had control of the locker room just as much as Ray did. But Ed and Ray never disagreed with each other and that is why they were the two unquestioned leaders of the Ravens. However, Ed was the total maverick.

Will this organization ever make an effort to retain any of our good coaches. How do they expect the players to play consistent with the coaches they follow behind leaving like rotating doors.

You forget we tried to get Ramsey this past season. Who would we have gotten in free agency? Josh Norman? We aren't spending that cash. The only corner worth getting in the 2nd was maybe Mackensie Alexander who only played 3 games for the Vikings. The year before that we went after 2 offensive needs. And before that Webb was still considered a good CB2 and we were going after safeties instead.

This is supposed to be the best CB class in a decade. If we don't go after one in this draft then you'll have a point. But to say coaches don't WANT better players, again, makes absolutely no sense. Just because they didn't get the players doesn't mean they don't want them.

Don't think there's much of a chance Reed comes back to Baltimore if Harbaugh is still here, there have been plenty players that have left us to play for our previous coordinators (Ryan, Caldwell, Pagano, Kubiak)

nonsense! compare this season's secondary to last season's and you'll see a night and day difference; especially in the turnover department. Pay attention. Frazier turned the secondary around. Another season would have done us wonders.

They'll not let Reed go. He'll be promoted to the Secondary's coach in Buffalo. Watch.....

Considering Buffalo's secondary was ranked 6th best in the NFL, I seriously doubt a new coach is going to get rid of Ed Reed. The big shame is that Ed Reed spent 11 of his 12 NFL seasons in Baltimore but he's choosing to coach in Buffalo instead. Now Rex Ryan is gone but he's still remains in Buffalo. I guess Ed really doesn't like Harbaugh.

agreed. hate to lose him but it is a promotion and cannot blame him. hopefully harbs can bring in someone that can teach technique and continue with what frazier was doing.

I would rather have the Ravens fire Dean Pees and hire Leslie Frazier as defensive coordinator instead. I believe he would've been a good defensive coordinater here. SMH. Now l'm worried about Dean Pees cost us games in the 4th Q with the prevent defense again.

hopefully harbs makes it clear to pees that no matter what lead we have going into the 4th do not take your foot off the gas pedal. go for the jugular. i am still sick to my stomach about giving up 3 td's in the 4th to the steelers. should have never happened and harbs should have ordered pees to turn up the pressure again.
