Yeah, its called finding a scapegoat. If I were Greg Roman, I'd rent a house rather than buy one. He's taking a demotion to come here and do basically the same thing Castillo was doing. Now, Frazier has shuffled off to Buffalo. So much for continuity!

It is not a demotion when you take a job that is lower than one you were fired from. I am pretty sure he was unemployed, so any job you get from there would be a promotion, wouldn't it? Sure, John said “Greg had other opportunities over the last few days ...", but I've no idea what those opportunities were. If any one of those was an OC position, I'm rather certain he would not be our run game coordinator or whatever title we are going to bestow on him.

Wagner was so good that he went in the fifth round. KO was able to seamlessly switch from RT to LG in a matter of weeks. Alex Lewis was able to be a starter thanks to Castillo's coaching.

not to mention urschel, jensen and ducasse all filled in admirably and effectively for a time - even hurst was serviceable in a pinch in 2014 (terrible afterwards)

I get what you are saying but Big 10 lineman are generally pretty good and well suited for NFL style football. KO was very versatile in college having played both RT and LT I get there is a jump in competition but that should be expected of a 2nd round pick. Maybe it was his game planning that turned me off but I was not a fan of his

But do all Big 10 lineman have success? And there was a MASSIVE leap from year one to two for Wagner.

I actually questioned whether or not KO could transition to LG. He looked lost on second level blocking in the playoffs.

Castillo could really coach up a young guy.

It is clear that he is fantastic O line coach. It's on Harbaugh for having him organise the run offense for 3 years out of 4 when it was clear after the Kubiak's season that Castillo should never have that role again.

And yet that is what Buffalo just hired him to do.

I know, I'm going to follow that story closely.
