I'm sick of flacco throwing these 5 yard dinks to pitta bread too

Its not pittas fault joe locks in on him and at least he's always open

Was a little surprised that Castillo is leaving his buddy John although, I didn't know that he wasn't under contract here for 2017. I just find it funny that we are bringing in Buffalo's former OC and Juan is heading to Buffalo.

Glad to see John finally came to his senses.  It only took 4 years of poor performance by Castillo.  So long as Roman sticks to O-Line and Run game and not play calling, and Marty learns how to call a running play once in a while, we should definitely see an improvement in the run game.

So Ryan Fitzpatrick or EJ Manuel is your option. Bet you felt the same when the confetti was dropping in New Orleans.

Yeah it was time for a change at that position. I'm excited to for the future of the O line. Now if the team would get a new WR coach.

They actually NEED WR's first.

That's been the case since the Ravens got here. This past season, Joe had arguably the best receiving talent he's ever had, yet the offense failed to take advantage. That's either the play structure, play calling, route-running, lack of protection, or Joe not feeling comfortable with his primary downfield read and defaulting to a dump-off. I think it was a combination of all of the above.

Bye Felicia!!! With the exception of obviously Yanda and knowing that Stanley is a rookie as well as A. Lewis - our OL was atrocious this season!!!! Run blocking only seemed to work when they were holding which negated several large runs by West that killed drives and obviously their pass blocking was horrible as well. The entire right side of the line needs to be replaced!!!

PFF said the O-Line graded out as 9th best in the league.  Don't know what film they were watching.  When all are healthy, Yanda moves back to RG, Lewis in at LG (or RT if Wagner departs), which really means we need a bigger, beastlier Center plus a higher quality swing OL as a backup, and we'll be all set talent-wise.

You do realize that Dennis has actually been a life saver at times, right? He's got some of the most reliable hands in the league... I don't know why people are anxious to get rid of one of the most "sure things" on this team. It just doesn't make sense. Restructure his deal... don't get rid of the guy.

I'd actually agree with that. Problem was that we were on an O-Line carousel for much of this season... players hurt, and players moving around... Yeah, if we could get a decent Center and some consistency there.... we'd be OK.

I agree with this. Why people want Pitta get cut? Are they nuts? They should cut Watson instead. We only signed him because of Pitta health. Now he's healthy we really don't need him. We can restructure deal but if he doesn't l still wouldn't cut him. He an huge important aspect in this team on offense.

Pitta's contract is almost worse than Joe's. I really hope we cut him. Not to mention he's a liability on the field and blocks worse than Jimmy Graham. He definitely does not play like a Raven. Too many softies on the Ravens these days. What happened to drafting nasty guys

Perriman as a "rookie" first round pick should be better than Torrey Smith, our best-ever deep threat (so far).  SSSr is at least as good as Boldin and Mason as the safety blanket, and Pitta was back to his old form.  Add to that the best receiving FB the Ravens have ever had, and I'd say yes, this is the best receiving corps Joe has ever had.  Now add Wallace (almost as fast as Perriman/Torrey, but can run more than 1 route) and Aiken (underrated possession receiver).

Were they effective this year?  No.  And I don't think it was due to a relative lack of receiving talent.

I agree he doesn't block great, but does not play like a Raven is way off base. He has taken a lot of tough hits, and came back from 2 Hip Surgeries. I just think Joe shouldn't throw to him so much. If their gonna do a check down do it to a running back. Use Dixon like they used Rice

But he can't see anything past Pitta and that is one of the causes for his severe regression. Defenses notice these trends and render Joe impotent on the football field. He just looks around till he sees Pitta and locks on to him like a laser allowing even ordinary defensive players to snag interceptions. Remember the last goal line interception... that was classic Joe locked into Pitta.

That is because he only runs 5 to 7 yards.

Earl Weaver always said, you need horses to win. So Ozzie, you need to draft horses in order for the Ravens to win. I hate to say this, but Dallas has built a winning team through the draft. Stop signing other teams castoffs. They may have been cheap signings, you get what you pay for.
