Nishadrahman13's FanSpeak Mock Draft 4 Rounds

20 posts in this topic

Team needs: 2 CBs, 2 pass rushers, 2 WRs, 1 gamebreaking RB, 1 C, 1 backup QB

This draft is incredibly stacked, but our hope (as usual) should be that as many QBs go early as possible. Deshaun Watson, Deshone Kizer, and Mitch Trubisky could maybe go 1-2-3, as they did in my mock draft using FanSpeak. This was the result:

Round 1: Mike Williams, WR

Round 2: Tre'Davious White, CB

Round 3: Solomon Thomas, EDGE

                 Quincy Wilson, CB

Round 4: Ryan Anderson, EDGE

The board fell miraculously from the very beginning. However, FanSpeak does have a very questionable board; in what world is Quincy Wilson a third rounder? Also Ryan Anderson boosted his draft stock with his National Championship performance so a 4th rounder may be a pipe dream. However, the power of early quarterback picks is evident in this mock.

Mike Williams becomes our number 1 almost out of the gate in the mold of Playoffs Anquan Boldin, Tre'Davious White or Quincy Wilson start at outside corner, Solomon Thomas gets into the rotation and eventually replaces Timmy Jernigan, Ryan Anderson pushes Zadarius Smith, Matt Judon, and Kamalei Correa to be more useful (we are assuming Dumervil is cut for cap reasons). That makes at least 2 immediate starters and all 5 would see playing time barring injuries.

The most difficult decision I faced was Ethan Pocic or Solomon Thomas in the third; center might be a larger need but I love Solomon Thomas and think he could be our best D lineman and a Pro Bowler within 3 years.

What would you all think if the draft went this way?

Great and all but that's 3 lock first rounders in Williams, Thomas, and Wilson - Williams and Wilson expected to be the first taken at their positions - and I would not be surprised if White and/or Anderson also sneak into the late first. "Questionable board" is an understatement.

No way Anderson is there in the 4th unless he kills someone. That guy is too good and I see second round as his floor at the moment.

Lol this draft is ridiculous.  As you mentioned, Quincy Wilson in the 3rd (and even Anderson in the 4th) is enough to make Fanspeak's board completely useless.

Mike Williams is a top 10 lock unless he bombs the combine which is unlikely.

White is accurate and realistic

Thomas isn't falling to the 3rd.

I don't see Quincy Wilson murdering anyone of getting caught On tape robbing banks, so he's going 2 and a half rounds earlier.

Anderson is a lock for 2nd round, maybe first.

literally all of those guys except tradavius white might go in the 1st round and will definitely be gone by the mid 2nd round

Essentially the take home message: Fanspeak's Big Board is preposterous. But really until the combine, most available big boards are hot messes.

Fair enough, based on my board:

Round 1: Corey Davis, WR

Round 2: Tre'Davious White, CB

Round 3: Ethan Pocic, C (steal, but I think he will be undervalued)

Cooper Kupp, WR

Round 4: Ejuan Price, EDGE

i meant to fanspeak to play off (i trust my own board at this point more than most of the ones on that site as they are at the moment - its always frustrating because they have a lot of players in similar places and then a load of players who are like a 100 places too low on the board which kind of ruins the authenticity because of course you'd take them at that point in the draft in real life but in their simulation you know they will be around in another round's time when they might not even make it to the pick before for example)

but thanks anyway lol

Not realistic, some good names though. I think Solomon goes top ten.

Williams will go to the Bungles and they will terrorize the Ravens forever lol

Mike Williams + AJ Green would be a nightmare.

Then we will draft Humphrey and sign Joe Haden ( who will be release by the browns). What about that as response.

Gotta like Humphreys measurable's but his cover skills or lack thereof might overshadow his height. I like one members' mock with Jourdan Lewis in the second.

i agree i think a team might really like him but id prefer sidney jones, quincy wilson, or teez tabor over marlon humphreys (with the proviso that i havent watched a huge amount of corner tape yet)
