Ravens AP First and Second team All-Pro Players

Orr had a pretty good season.  I did not expect people would see his talent considering he is not a big name.    Props to Zac.

Mosley is pretty much in every season, and Yanda ofc.

Yanda as a left guard though...HOF worthy resume.

Tucker pretty much is the best kicker in NFL.  Soon as Vini/Gost is done, I assume Tucker will try to beat their resume if he can stay around the league long enough.

Yanda has a RIGHT guard HOF resume, though that doesn't really matter.

I wanna know how Eric Weddle got snubbed from the second team.

No issue with the first team. Eric Berry has been amazing and Collins is my DPOY pick, but no Weddle on second team? Really?

I was pretty surprised with the total amount of first and second year players on there. Big influx of young talent.

That wasn't what I meant.  He is a RG, but got in as a LG in pro bowl(as an alternate).  Pretty cool things to see and something he can stash in his resume.

You need to stop this obsession of yours stalking me.

Weddle unfortunately only got one safety vote, completely snubbed - and on the vote count on AP he is still listed as being a Charger as well. He did get a single vote at CB too for whatever reason. There really is no reason McCourty and Clinton-Dix got second team over him, both good players in their own right but Weddle was better this season.

I don't think the second team at ILB is accurate unless they expanded to like 10 slots.

It's accurate in the sense that pretty much all of those guys got only 1 vote, so they all tied for the 2nd team technically.

"C.J. Mosley, Baltimore, 1; Zach Brown, Buffalo, 1; Zachary Orr, Baltimore, 1; Alec Ogletree, Los Angeles, 1; Dont'a Hightower, New England, 1; Bernardick McKinney, Houston, 1; Lavonte David, Tampa Bay, 1; Whitney Mercilus, Houston, 1."

Ah gotcha. That is still kinda weird though. They should try to break the tie at least

Lmao. Zachary Orr instead of Weddle. What a joke.

Sorry guys, Orr is the most overrated on the team ala John Urschel and Crockett Gillmore. He's good, no doubt about it. I'm glad we have him. But he takes a lot of poor angels in the run game, is hesitant to pursue, can't change direction well. He's a good coverage backer, but CJ Mosely is so much better it's not even funny. We all got to see what happened when Orr had to be the #1 ILB, he was atrocious.

We all know how good Weddle is.

What a freaking joke.

Orr was a tackling machine and better in coverage than CJ I think he is very underrated.

Not even close. I don't think he is  even a better tackler than Mosely.

Yeah I think Orr gets hype as the underdog to Mosley because he's a first round pick and Orr an UDFA.  Orr isn't as good imo as Mosley. Mosley really started to heat up before his hamstring injury and he had a fair share of interceptions. I like what he was doing before he got hurt

This exactly. One of the most underrated defensive story lines of the season was Mosley's improvement in the passing game. He went from being a potential liability over the first few seasons to being our best coverage linebacker in his most recent campaign. With regards to Orr, I'm happy to see any Raven make the list because it's good for the player's confidence and our organization. That being said, I personally feel that Orr's performance this season is a bit overstated. On tape, Orr consistently struggled with taking proper angles in pursuit in the running game, often breaking down too early, showing undisciplined footwork and struggling in changing directions. He also didn't meet blocker with much pop. Take the Pittsburgh game for one. Here are his first seven plays against the run (Link1, Link2, Link3, Link4, Link5, Link6, Link7). The 5th play was a 6 yard gain. The 6th and 7th plays were technically charted as tackles for Orr by NFL GamePass for gains of 1 and 3 yards. Both plays are in part manufactured by Mosley, who shoots the gap on both plays, stonewalls Roosevelt Nix in the A-gap and preventing Le'Veon Bell from advancing and crashing down on David DeCastro to break up the double team on Brandon Williams and then rerouting to help wrap up Bell. Orr essentially walks up on Bell's back on the former and then gets one arm on him in the latter. Statistically, that's 3 tackles on just 7 run attempts, which is terrific production on paper. The plays themselves, however, generally weren't positive. The tackles for 1 and 3 yard gains were his only tackles of less than 4 yard gains. That was on an 8 tackle performance, .8 away from his season average. Now truth be told, we did wain down the stretch, and the Pittsburgh game wasn't our finest performance on defense with most players struggling at least to some extent. But these issues have been evident with Orr all season, perhaps none more glaring than the angle taken on the 69 yard TD by Quincy Enunwa early in the season (Link). I thought he fared better in coverage in comparison and I hope that shores up his play in the running game. That being said, his All-Pro selection definitely raised some eyebrows.

Orr is very poor in coverage but one of the best run defenders in the league at the position. He has instincts and is a tackling machine, the Pats game is a good example. It's a bit surprising but still glad for him to see him get the nod.
