Also you don't win in foxborough by being a game manager unless you have literally everything work your way like the 2009 Ravens and that was not a great Pats team that year. Best result for the Chiefs is a game just like the Steelers where they mess it up in the final drive and pat themselves on the back for keeping it close. In Arrowhead they would have a shot but not on the road. You only get one shot in the playoffs and you need to make something happen.

Exactly, you really need to be in attack mode if you're going to beat Tom in foxborough. Chiefs are just way too conservative and lateral to do that. We already saw what the chiefs do in foxborough in the postseason and that game wasn't worth anyone's time.

they'd still say yes obviously

Some would say yes. They'd take a higher draft pick over this trash.

Someone should go on Steelers board and tell them,,,Well Was it worth it beating our Ravens? Was it worth it?

It's always worth beating a divisional rival. Always. Especially when you knock them out of playoff contention too.

Would you give up one of the wins against Pitt from last year?

They would make the same mistakes against the Pats. Problem with the Chiefs and Andy Reid teams in general is that they always do good in the regular season but never get it done in the playoffs. Chiefs defense would have kept it close but the Chiefs are always good for some dumb moves in crunch time that sink them.

It was more things like massive penalties to set up third and longs and huge drops that were wide open. Highly doubt that happens because it's against the Patriots. Highly doubt it happens again at all. That is something you clean up with practice.

The offense looked incredibly creative and strong on the first drive before they shot themselves in the foot. They have a complete x-factor in Hill. Their defense can slow Brady the way that Houston did. They have a strong running game and receivers. This team was built to beat the Patriots.

Ben with the garbage time stats to inflate his 25/23 playoff TD/INT ratio. LOL.

He was pretty bad down the stretch and it continued into the playoffs.

Yup, nothing on the Chiefs says they can win in foxborough. Nothing tells me Alex Smith can play as well as Flacco did in 2011, 2012, and 2014 and while I like their defense, they won't score enough points.

Maybe all the injuries are finally catching up.

But then again, for most of his career he's had good running games and defenses, perhaps this accusation should have come sooner... I mean probably not, but just something to think about...

Chiefs running game is not that good. Maybe with Charles but Ware faded down the stretch. Hill is an x factor sure but the Pats can take him out of the game and make Alex Smith beat them which I don't think he can do. The Steelers took Hill and Kelce out of the game and they couldn't make it work. And mistakes or not, that was the Steelers defense. I don't see how they can consistently move the ball against the Pats. Plus if they are down 4 with 2 minutes left, I don't trust Alex Smith to deliver them to a win on the road.

And you can bet the Pats would score more than 18 points. Chiefs defense is good but they lose a lot of their edge outside of arrowhead and Brady will get the ball out quick against that pass rush. Furthermore they will attack the right side of the defense(aka away from Peters) and the Chiefs don't have another corner who can deal with Edeman or Hogan. Also Chiefs front 7 has been depleted by injury and the Pats would have probably gotten a run game established. Chiefs would do well to limit them but they wouldn't do enough for their offense. Plus the coaching edge and the famous Andy Reid clock management striking again.

I know Brady is probably going to play for several more years but I wonder if he would retire after a 5th Championship and go out like Peyton did last year.

Peyton retired because he was literally a zombie.

Brady ain't going anywhere.

I was going to make some counter points, but I really don't have the energy at this point to sit here and argue because you're not going to change your mind no matter what. You'll think what you want regardless and that's fine.

Amazing.........

2014: Pats trade Logan Mankins to Bucs. Bucs end up with a 2-14 season and first overall pick. Patriots go on to win the Super Bowl.

2016: Pats trade Jamie Collins to Browns. Browns end up 1-15 and the first overall pick. Pats in the Super Bowl again.

I expected more from the Steelers, but I guess we really are the only team in the AFC who can go toe to toe with the Pats in NE. Hopefully the Flock will rise again......once more.

I am just glad the Steelers lost! The Patriots are the best team in the AFC by a mile and they annihilated Pittsburgh. The only team capable of beating NE are the Ravens period. Somehow, someway we play them tough except this year of course. But, I don't have to hear another dumb and gloating Pittsburgh fan talking about a trip to a SB. I am happy for Atlanta though. Matt Ryan has closed the debate of who is the best 2008 QB drafted with this year's performance and it isn't close.

They are the best team of the 21st century NFL. And yes, the reviled Brady is the best QB in the history of the league.

A few teams get this treatment.  I see other teams and wonder what the refs have against our guys sometimes.  Steelers come to mind as do Seahawks of past, Revis, Broncos secondary and Cowboys.   Cowboys and Steelers OL are also allowed the freedom of holding as well.

We played em closer than this... which is sad.

The thing I'm worried about is that ATL is built similar to Pittsburgh. Strong at the line, run game and QB. #1 WR in the league who opens up for others. I think NE can scheme well for ATL if they play their cards right.

That said, here's to hoping ATL wins.

Hey, at least we're the only team to beat NE at their home when they were leading at half-time, and the only team to beat them at their home in the AFC title game. Let's be honest here, we're a spoiled rotten fan-base. I get that NE and Pitt are as well, but the fact that we were the only ones to do that, c'mon man, no one can take that away from us. Makes me so proud of this franchise.

I love this team so damn much man.

Especially since this would be their first Super Bowl Championship. It's going to be awesome seeing a first time Super Bowl Champion if that is the case. I agree with your concerns as well, if there is one coach who can stop the high octane offense of Atlanta it's Bill Belichick.

I just don't see how Alex Smith delivers them a win and I don't think the Chiefs defense will limit the Pats enough to win which is what they would need to do because the Pats will still get their points and counting on them to turn to ball over is really pushing your luck.

But at the end of the day the Chiefs lost to this Steelers team at home and the Steelers just got blown out by the Pats. And anyone that knows the Chiefs know they do a lot better at home than on the road. So mistakes or not, that is a pretty big gap. In Arrowhead I may think differently as the noise and defense would have more of an impact but I don't think even the Broncos last year would have beat the Pats if that game was in Foxborough.

Yeah, as long as Bill Belichick is HC you just can't rule out NE. They might even come into this game thinking themselves as underdogs.

like many have said, coming to think about it, Baltimore Ravens are the only team who can take down NE in their own stadium.  It's the fact and not a lot of folks accept that, not even some of our fans...very strange...
