But here is the thing.  Matt Ryan, Julio Jones, Vic Beasley, and Kyle were all together year before together.  They went 8-8 finish.  This year complete turn around. And theThe biggest difference that clearly improved is Matt Ryan.  He made it his mission in offseason to really get better.

I hope Flacco is really being honest when he said he'll be putting in an effort this offseason to improve.

Exactly. We can talk about Ryan's weapons till the cows come home, but HE has clearly improved on his own.

The Falcons are the 12th different NFC Champion in the last 16 seasons.... crazy how wide open the NFC is compared to the AFC.

But the AFC still has more Super Bowl wins over that time period. The AFC just has some dynastic/semi-dynastic teams, particularly the Pats.

No matter who wins the AFC Championship, Falcons are winning the Super Bowl. They just can't be stopped, I don't see how Pittsburgh or New England stops this Atlanta offense.

People love to point out how well NE has played on defense the last 10 weeks... and then you see the quarterbacks they played. They haven't seen anyone like Matt Ryan.

All things considered, no, I don't think we'd see a huge switch. Flacco was just too erratic and off target too often to even make that offense work and Ryan just made better throws and moved better more often than not.

Don't kid yourself. Knowing that you aren't going to get smashed, having a running game and having receivers that can run routes and catch will do wonders for confidence and quality of throws. It's just simple fact.

Wow..... the Patriots are already deep in Steelers territory. Yeah as I said, Falcons are winning the Super Bowl. Neither the Pats or Steelers have faced a QB like Matt Ryan and an offense with so many weapons like they have.

He's played with very piss poor offensive lines and weak running games (not weak, just a lack of commitment for the Ravens this year) for most of his career, so....

Alex Mack has been great for the Falcons. Hope the Ravens upgrade at center too.

I remember hearing in 2014 that if the Ravens didn't get Monroe, they were going to go hard for Mack. What could have been...

Not sure that's all that true considering Michael Turner was pretty damn good in the early years of ryans career and hes had relatively good running games for the last two seasons, far better than the ravens at least.

Right, played in a weak division, 1 - 4 in the playoffs, never sniffed MVP or a SB, so........

Don't think there's an Alex Mack in FA available that would provide a major boost the way Mack did for the Falcons.

I'm confused, why pull the fire alarm at 3:00am when the game didn't start until 6:30pm? That's still plenty of time for the Steelers to sleep and get rest.

And has always had quality receivers, better than the Ravens anyway.  lol
