We should file a complaint with thr NFL. Ask for the cap space Hester stoke from us to be applied toward our cap this year. Obviously Hester tanked on purpose and just wanted to steal our money.

Players like him should be suspended for not trying on one team but then actually trying with another team.

Normally I would argue such a silly notion but I think your analysis is fair and sound.

Falcons invest in OL and look at that..

its not rocket science

Must be nice having an OC who uses the run game.

He said he was playing hurt all year, and finally feels healthy. Don't know if that's been confirmed, I just remember reading when he was signed by the Hawks.

Not buying it.

Too much of the problem was decision making.

We had an O-line in 2014 and Flacco wasn't this good. I do agree that it is big though

Yep. Ryan is killing this Seattle zone.

That 99 yard drive is, in a nutshell, why Ryan is the MVP. You start at your own half yard line and go empty backfield to start, an insane decision, but Ryan gets it done. He then stares into the face of a top 5 defense and just marches down the field for a perfectly executed two minute drill.

flacco was pretty good in 2014 - like best of his career good - and was the OLine actually that good in 2014 - we finished the season with a backup guard and left tackle for the most part

Falcons get the ball to start the second half as well. If they can start with a TD drive that would be huge

the only thing that might keep seattle in this game is how bad atlanta's defense has been at times

It was easily a top 5 line in the NFL before Yanda had to move to RT. Pretty comparable to this Falcons line, I mean we got Forsett to the pro bowl

Also comparing weapons makes it even more unfair besides OC advantage for atlanta

But yea Ryan far outplaying where flacco was at that year even though flacco had a pretty good divisional game against pats

you could argue a lot of it was scheme given that all the players returned the next year and the line was garbage

I think most people were thrilled to have Kubiak over Shanahan and 2014 weapons were pretty on par with the Falcons, minus Julio.

If I remember correctly, Monroe was rarely healthy, Wagner was returning from a Lisfranc, and Zuttah got injured halfway through the year. I also believe KO swung outside to replace Monroe, so not really comparable.

Yeah we had Kubes at OC, of course the scheme was good. Same for the Falcons with a guy running a very similar scheme in Shanahan.

Flacco still had his stinkers though. I guess that is my main point. Even with the O-line and Kubes, he still was inconsistent. Also if Ryan threw that pick at the end of the Pats game, we would all be making fun of him for choking the game away.

Yea agreed on the int and take back the OC comment.. was thinking at first kubiak was a different year

Think Julio alone throws the comparison off big time

Yeah Julio helps big time but in the regular season, Ryan's consistency does it for me. Flacco turns it up in the playoffs though, that 2014 team was so close. If we had the secondary we would have won that game.

This Atlanta offense is a fine tuned machine.

I notice the throw beyond the 1st down marker. We don't do that.

yeah but what im saying is there were also pretty significant injury issues the year before with monroe out for the last few games and the whole playoffs, urschel had to spell KO for a number of games

This is why I like differing. Sure you risk a team getting off to a hot start but then if you score at the end of the first half and get the ball at the start of the second, it can be huge

wth hell hester - did we just not block well on kick returns or something when he was here?

We didn't - our ST blocking regressed big time. Not absolving Hester here because he was always indecisive and flat out bad.

If we had gotten Shanahan instead of Trestman... ugh

The Falcons aren't doing anything complicated, but the execution is fantastic.

it does help them that coverage swings towards julio - it gives their twitchy receivers more room to work in - that being said their run game looks great as well against the vaunted seahawks front

i was referring to the misjudging punts and stuff too - he caught that one and took it back 79 yards so comfortably where with us he would bobble them or just wave them off when he should catch them
