[News] Eisenberg: Regardless Of Who Is Coordinator, Ravens' Offensive Philosophy Needs A Makeover

What a coincidence. We have the #16 pick in this years draft and we will be drafting #16 again in 2018. Translated 8-8 (at best)

NO! confidence what so ever in this organization to fix things. The team is old and no difference makers. 2017 season will be a repeat of 2015 5 - 11 and FINALLY Steve will wake up and fire everybody and get some fresh blood. As a fan I'm just so tired of the high school offense and overrated defense and the best player being a kicker. Other teams face the same challenges and make plays. Tired of hearing the same old excuses from the players and coaches. WE the fans deserve better WE pay their salaries. This team can be summed up pretty easily. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ !

Time for the OC to do what best with players available rather than attempt to make them into something they've never been. In other words, it should be easier for the OC to change his approach than to change the team to fit what he is used too. Lets hope so!

By the time john figures it out this team will be in dog fights with Cleaveland like 2015.

I have no reason to believe anything will change. Martys track record proves hes hes a chuck it 40x a game OC, that wont change and next year Ravens will be 8-8 and Ravens will have a new head coach as Harbaugh is going down with his sinking ship

The only lack of a running game was not calling run plays and at times no blocking but the running backs still did a good job when given the chance marty had 11 weeks to run the ball and to figure out his QB's name was joe flacco and not joe montana but that's just more evidence that marty is not a good OC

Last year after the season ravens said we need to fix Defense, Failed again no speed and small linebackers no pass rush and the same 10 yards off receivers still need a CB and pass rush. on Offense we need to run the ball more and better and than they give the keys to marty his OC tract record speaks for itself he's horrible. Steve B COME on MAN

Nobody really believes things will change. Based on track record, Marty had 11 games to get committed to running the ball and Flacco 2nd in nfl in pass attempts.

So tell me why? Why now its going to change? All of a sudden Marty will run West/Dixon 30x a game? Na.

Expect 8-8 again, and New HC

If Steve lets Harbs have his way and keep his OC after what we have all witnessed this year then you have to figure that if 2017 starts to look like 2016 both may have a very short tenure in B-more.

yeah I'll believe it when I see it... I dont trust anything our coaching staff says because they are all talk and no walk. John says what he knows the fans want to hear, but his actions suggest otherwise?

We need to run the ball more, we need to run the ball more efficiently. yet we retain a pass happy OC for his entire career. Sounds like he's doing a friend a favor

We need a steady quarterback who comes to play each Sunday. Not one who seems to show up sometimes with his head in the clouds. If they can get Flacco on-board that's wonderful, otherwise axe him. He's been a waste of a lot of money since the SB. There are so many issues with him that shouldn't exist with a 9 year man. Everyone thought Romo was 'it' until they saw Prescott. Just sayin'

"If they don't fix it now, they'll miss out on the postseason again."

And if that happens, I really have to think it will be the end of the Harbaugh era. Steve is completely right, as long as he feels he's willing to retain Harbaugh, that he lets John make all coaching staff decisions ... but then the end result is on him. I have to think another season like this one, where we sooo close, yet we see so many instances where we just let things get away from us, that it will be the end of the line,

I don't think we're a franchise that is cool with break even record over the past 3 years. make it 4 and I think the grace points earned in a SB victory are gone.

While I blame the defense more than the offense for missing the playoffs, I (and everyone else) seem to agree that we need to run the ball more. All it takes is - CALL MORE RUNS! I can see passing when the run game isn't working, but in most this year we often didn't give the run game a chance, or worse - the run game was effective but we still went 99% pass in second half (as in the Washington game).

I wish the Ravens would fire all their coaches, dump Flacco and his bloated salary, and replace Ozzie.

Hire up & coming coaches with new schemes like Chip Kelly,

Spend multiple 1st Round picks the next few years until you get a Tom Brady QB

Draft only Alpha Dawgs like the Jaguars have - Jalen Ramsey, Myles Jack, Dante Fowler or the Bengals - Burfict, Pacman, Dre, Green because they are the best teams in the league. Every year, ONLY draft big play-making WRs, Shutdown Corners, Safeties that will Shut down Gronk & Edelman at the same time, Pass Rushers that make Von Miller look like Kelly Gregg.

After 3-4 years of picking high in the draft and going through at least 3-4 head coaches, we might be able to make the play-offs.

But who cares, we will have a "Smashmouth football, alpha dawgs" led team with a Tom Brady QB who takes the vet minimum so the team can sign all the best FA every year....

SMH. Even John is figuring out ways to rationalize the idiocy of retaining Marty albeit unsuccessfully I might add.

John Harbaugh killed whatever little anticipation there was for the upcoming season with his cliche laden presser. It's just become so tiresome and predictable with his cliches that no matter what question is asked he reverts back to some tired overused cliche for an answer. So dang irritating.

Both offensive and defensive needs a makeover The defense played pretty good most of the season but I am so tired of watching the game and not being able to see the CB's on the TV screen because they are playing so far off the WR's

The word is out and everyone knows the Ravens have the weaponry it's the QB that is suspect! It's on film smh even Ray Ray know what's stopping the Ravens and he spoke on it since he doesn't have to govern his comments like players do!

Are you drunk? I hope you're being sarcastic - You can't use the Jags as an example, nor the Bengals. Bengals have had very limited success, and one and done in the playoffs, and that's IF they make it. The Jags? Are you serious? THEY'RE the blueprint on how to draft? lol

I'm pretty sure that was sarcasm, and it was hilarious.

haha - I know, right? The opponent's offense is on their own 25 and the Ravens CBs are in the tunnel, behind the FG posts.

How many times have we seen it? I mean if its 3rd and 6 our CB's are playing off at least 8-10 yards
