I didn't see touchdowns I saw checkdowns, Pass to run ratio was horribly one sided, even after OC change. Offensive line was banged up but I didn't see consistency from week to week as that line jelled. Which to me equals another OC.

So, let's go back to TIME..  It takes time for plays to develop downfield.  TIME which Joe very rarely had.  THAT is why you saw checkdowns.  Because he was consistently being rushed, especially up the middle (which means missed blocks by the Center or RB), and on the right side.  Even the Cincinnati announcers were noting how our receivers didn't have time to get open, and that Joe was rushed.  When the media of the opposing team is saying these things...  you know you have a problem somehwere...  and it isn't always at OC.  7 different OLine configurations in 5 games.  I just finished posting this on another thread..  Once Stanley came back, Yanda moved to LG, it was better.  Lewis never made it back, and the right side was weak at best, always substituting.  Watch a Dallas game and look at the time that Prescott has to make his plays....  Clean pocket almost every play.  THAT is a good O-Line.

Even Prescott understands if you get pressured to throw the ball away. Also the pass run ratio was pathetic against teams we had success running the ball against. The OC has to be smart enough to have balance and not just dump a game plan early. That happened far too many times. Joe flacco can't throw the ball 40-50 times and expect to win. Joe Flacco has not developed a consistent season to build on to have foolish game plans. The last five games Joe averaged 40-42 pass attempts, Dixon/west average a combined 16-18 rushing attempts? Who makes those calls and Joe the Drone just goes with it. Retaining Marty has sealed the fate of this entire staff. No playoffs in 2017=pink slips for everyone not just the OC this time. That's not Tuesday Morning GM that's the fed up owner.

Something has changed and it put the Ravens future in serious trouble. Ravens have gone 8-8 against some bad divisions and caught Pitts at the right time (beat up and injured) to win but when "rubber meets the road" Pitts scores three touchdowns in 4th and Bengals win without their best players. If you can believe the hype the Ravens are close go watch the "State of the Ravens" from 2013, 2014, and 2015

That was my point as well Crusader, something has changed and personally I think it is the fact that Harbs has more influence over the draft since the SB run, especially with his record, and also if you read the articles you can see Harbs outright tells you what kind of characteristics he wants in players in that "football intelligence" isn't about physicality and skill, for him it is about being team player with good character.  That particular ideology in players is personally where I think the draft downfall started, and team issues with certain players getting highlighted in the public's eye only accentuated it and bolstered Harbs opinion giving him more credence.  If you remember Ozzie was the only one that backed RR, and he gave Rolando McClain at shot and Harbs wasn't pleased with that, and McClain was later traded.  Those are just two examples off the top of my head that points to the fact that Harbs probably has Biscotti's ear a little more than Ozzie.

The overall draft process hasn't changed much over the entire Ravens tenure, the most recent changes are that we lost a lot of our most productive scouts and talent evaluators, and the fact that Harbs possibly has a lot more influence in the draft that he's had before.  The fact that he said in today's presser that he doesn't concern himself with worrying about his job, and that he is keeping all three coordinators, I think speaks to who has the most influence in this organization at the moment!  But that is just my opinion.
