Week 17: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly, Vent/Rant Bengal Version

153 posts in this topic

Ugly season but on the bright side we've successfully ousted the west coast offense from B-more. We've avoided paying Williams too money and we've found our next RB, Slot CB and a potentially great  young LT.

The good:  We lost

The bad: Steve Smith's last game

The Ugly:  Who cares... This season's been put out of it's misery like Old Yeller.

Bye Bye SSS sorry the team could not muster up enough energy to even compete today on your final send off game.

The Good: I got to watch SSS final game in a Raven uniform.

The Bad: I got to watch the other players in a Raven uniform.

The Ugly: I got to watch the players in Ravens uniform play with no heart, no emotion, nothing!

Run defense destroyed by Rex burkhead

Three weeks in a row now the so called "#1 Run D" has looked like trash

Why is Dean Pees still here? I don't care about looking good statistically against garbage teams I want a defense that can win

This was Harbaugh's best coached game.  Make the team look inept.  You play possum them jump out the gate next year, with better draft position.

It was a horrible day for the defense. No turnovers, didn't get much stops and had no energy. We let Rex Burkhead of all people drop 100 and 2 TDs on us. Think about that, REX BURKHEAD.

Lol, Cleveland is about to play themselves out of the first overall pick?!

I'm so angry, don't get me started on Harbaugh.  I don't want to spoil my entire off season thinking about him.  From his 'go for it' attitude when it makes no sense, to his coaching staff, to his inane pressers, to his general eneptitude.   I just don't want to go any further.  No one is more responsible for a teams failure or success than the head coach.  No one.

I had mixed feelings about Dean Pees but today I think that's gone. I believe Pees should be let go and we should get new coaches doing the offensive and defensive play calling next season.

It doesn't change much. At worst they get Allen rather than Garrett.

Well, we went from 5-11 to 8-8. That be a mighty improvement for most other bad teams. Hell, Cleveland and Jag fans would kill for that.

"B-BUT HE W-WON A SUPER BOWL HALF A DECADE AGO ON THE COATTAILS OF RAY LEWIS HE M-MUST BE G-GOOD RIGHT?!?!"

Its a shame we extended him. Hes the main problem no matter how much you want to bury your head in the sand. He can't hire a good OC and he can't see that his DC is garbage

He's still got the one day as a panther option.   If I were  him.....

The good: it wasn't a losing season.

The bad: the season is over.  Nothing to look forward to on Sundays now.

The ugly: won't hold this game against them.  I know that loss last week took an emotional toll on them.  I know how hard it is to play when there's nothing on the line.

Since 2012, the Ravens have gone 31-33. They are what their record says they are: a mediocre team.

The Good: Hopefully Pees has seen his last game as a DC in this league. We see Zuttah and Ducasse are no more than backups at best. Elam finally goes bye. Better draft pick. The OL showed who stays and who goes. We don't have to worry about paying BWill

Bad. We need to get rid of Pitta  force Joe to target others over the bum safety valve

How is it that Cleveland is playing hard even though they have nothing to play for, while we should have played hard for SSS yet we played like garbage?

That's his job to make sure they're not down.

I still think he's safe this year, but his seat should be feeling very warm entering next season.

This doesn't fit any of the draft threads and I'm not sure where else to ask. We have several teams looking to go 8-8. Obviously want to drop under them and pick higher in the draft. Here's what we have:

TEN, Indy and  MIN are already at 8-8. Hoping to see DEN and NO join the fun.

Any idea how the tiebreakers work here?

SOS, coin flip. This happens in 2014 between us and Dallas. They televised the flip. Jerry Jones won.
