Oh perfect.

Oh okay so it already has passed. Then they need to start signing some guys right away.

I'm not sure what month it is where you are, but it's still April here ;)

Boldin doesn't plan to sign with a team into later on in training camp. For a guy his age that's understandable but I honestly hope one of The Ravens young guys step up so The Ravens won't have to sign  a veteran receiver.

Nothing wrong with signing a veteran receiver that we won a superbowl with and that is probably going to canton.

I  like Boldin and always will but I think The Ravens should try to explore other options before even considering him.  I would like to see The Ravens try to explore trade options for players like Jordan Matthews or Marqise Lee. I also wouldn't mind seeing The Ravens express interest in Micheal Floyd who could bring more to the offense than Boldin.

Lee provides nothing that Chris Moore doesn't already provide: quickness and terrible hands.

And I think the only WR the Eagles would be willing to trade is Agholor. They probably see themselves as competing for the postseason this year, so I don't see why they'd part with their 2nd best receiver in Jordan Matthews, especially when he's on a cheap rookie deal.

Lee played well last season he was a fantasy sleeper at least. But I have a feeling DGB gets cut if so do we bring him here? I think he just might be dumb. Although he still has a huge upside and is a big bodied receiver which is exactly what we need

Jordan Matthews has been on the block. Theyre open to moving him for the right price... theyve reported explored resigning him early but he wants to a much bigger deal than theyre willing to offer. and having now brought in Alshon and Torrey, theyre much more likely to pony up the big bucks for Alshon since Jordan is limited to the slot only.

And since theyre not going to resign him in all likelihood i think theyd part ways if the price is right. I just dont know that we'd be willing to give up a high enough pick to bring him in especially knowing that we'd have to be willing to drop a bunch of cash for him to be anything more than a 1 year rental. Though he is almost the perfect compliment to Wallace and Perriman.

Theyre definitely not going all in this year... they showed that with the pick of Sidney Jones when they are absolutely barren at CB. Quincy Wilson was there as well as Awuzie... shows me that while they like their team for this year and think they can compete they arent going to ignore options that can make them better in the long term just to push for the play offs this year. Moving Jordan Matthews would certainly hurt their chances this year, but if they get a good enough pick in return, that could make more sense for them long term.

And i think its unfair to say Moore has terrible hands. Thats been thrown on him a lot, but i feel like everyones basing it on 2 plays. They were bad drops, sure... but he was a rookie playing in big spots early on. I give him credit for getting that open... and he made a few, very difficult diving catches prior to that. I think he actually has very good hands, he just suffered from making 2 high profile mistakes.... and then wasnt given much of a chance to redeem himself after that.

Can someone lmk when we sign mangold and Q? I'm thinking siragusa might be a candidate for Center too.

In my opinion Q isn't coming back because Detroit is a better option for him right now. Also, why would he want to come back here when he was unceremoniously trade after winning the SB? I don't think he's ever voiced an interest to come back but this year Harbaugh voiced an interest to having him back but I don't take that very seriously.

Moore had bad hands in college, and he was outright terrible at the senior bowl. I remember watching Wentz throw two perfect passes right to him, and he dropped them both. I thought to myself "well, there's no way this kid is getting drafted," and then sure enough... lol.

That said, maybe he can improve his hands. I doubt it, since that's not something that usually gets better, but I've seen it happen before (Brandon Marshall comes to mind). I hope he proves me wrong.

And I don't see the Ravens offering enough to get Matthews, but I suppose anything is possible. I honestly don't want him unless it's for a late round pick; he's pretty average.

Seems like drafting a WR with stone hands is one of the ravens criteria. Torrey, perriman, Moore. Lol sad

No he is not. No 4th round rookie should be asked to start at C. That's just setting him up for failure. Get a dangon C and roll the dice anywhere else. If a guard struggles then you simplify things for him or bench him. If your C struggles then your screwed! All 5 linemen look bad and Flacco pays the price of you start rookie C and he struggles....

I think a 5th gets the job done. Matthews is not great but he's certainly better than just average and certainly better than anyone WR we get in the fifth.

eagles should take whatever they get because they already have 1st rounders on that squad and just drafted 2 more guys. Unless they plan on losing Matthews for nothing then they should take what they can now.

You don't lose players for nothing in the NFL; you get compensatory picks.

I would not want to trade a 5th rounder for 1 year of Jordan Matthews. You can get similar production from a street FA like Boldin for ~1 million more in salary without losing a draft pick (assuming you sign them after May 9).

Listen the ravens have a different philosphy on talent evaluation

1- Speed > Routes

2- Size > Hands

3- Tackling > Awareness

The big difference is that the Ravens are almost forced to give Matthews significant playing time while the Eagles are almost forced to play the young guns they gut. If he plays in Baltimore then he gets a market in FA but if he stays in Philli then he probably leaves for a close minimum prove it deal.

thus we may get a come in return but the Eagles probably don't.

I love me some Q but at this point in his career Matthews is the better player.

i would trade a 5th and get a late company next year to close the revolving door on a position while keeping cap space for other positions. After all we get that pick back the following year. Philli on the other hand risk loosing it all so take what you get.

Marqise Lee caught 60  percent of his passes  and had 800 receiving yards with 3 touchdowns.  According to .sportingcharts.com he only had 3 drop passes and his route running at this moment probably far exceeds Chris Moore. Lee also could help with giving The Ravens some depth at kick/punt returner if not start . This is  Jordan Matthews contract year and if Nelson Agholor or Dorial Green Beckham start to show signs of improvement and actually look good in training camp then Matthews could  be the odd man out because those guys bring more to the table and have more upside than Matthews.  The Eagles also drafted two receivers in this years draft with one in the fourth and the other in the fifth but of course it's still possible Agholor and Beckham could be the ones that are cut or traded instead.

You're not wrong, but there's nothing inherently bad about valuing the things that you can't teach in the NFL, like speed, size, and tackling. You can teach routes and awareness. Can't teach speed or size, and contrary to popular belief, you can't coach tackling either. By the time you're in the NFL, you're a finished product in the tackling department.

Watch Lee play: he's a body-catcher. He's not what this team needs.

If he caught 60% percent of his passes and had only 3 drops base off just body catching then i'll take it.. I seen the  same thing said  about John Ross  and I still would have wanted him to be selected by The Ravens in this year draft. It's reasonable for others to want a receiver similar to Anquan Boldin  but I honestly think  The Raven have too much talented at the tight end position to not use them as the  dependable pass catcher when needed especially with the two tight end sets in the passing game that Gary Kubiak and Cam Cameron was using when they were apart of The Ravens coaching staff.
