This all looks to me like the Ravens think they have RT in Lewis, with Jensen at C (if he signs the tender) and Urschel at LG.

And I still expect OL early in the draft.

With Jensen and Urschel in the lineup last year the offense struggled a lot.

idk about all that.

What gives you that indication specifically?? Considering they didnt feel Urschel or Jensen could be the 2nd option at guard last year... seems odd they'd be set with either of them starting there next year.

I could see De'ondre Wesley or Hurst being the options at RT ahead of moving Lewis over.

And Skura's a guy to keep an eye on for the C position. Made a pretty sizable investment to keep him on the PS last year (relatively speaking of course).

Urschel and Jensen have both played those positions before. Lewis was tackle in college - granted on the blind side but he'll have more time this year to get more comfortable with the switch to the right.

I have no opinion on Wesley and Skura - haven's seen their college tape at all.

I do not want Hurst anywhere on the line in front of Flacco.

I get that but at this point there are no other players, apart from our PS guys and rookies from this year's draft, that may compete for jobs.

Ravens are not moving Alex Lewis to RT he's don't feel comfortable there so he's staying at LG

OK

lol... i mean i disagree with the jensen/urschel idea; but to say definitively no and that youre wrong?

debate is one thing. all fun and games. some people though like "I heard Oz say it once. they like him at LG.... so he'll never play anywhere else!"

Thats not fact. Thats opinion supported reasonably... but far from fact.

As much as Ozzie and Harbs say Alex Lewis is staying at LG, I don't know if I totally buy it. If I remember correctly they said similar things about Kelechi, that he was going to stay at RT and then that he would stay at LG. It might be the plan to keep Lewis at LG but who knows how it'll work out?

Also if you remember correctly Bryant Mckinnie got into shape in time for the playoffs so they put him at LT and moved Oher to RT which Moved KO to LG.

Plus this on Alex Lewis playing RT

Jeff Zrebiec‏ @jeffzrebiecsun

@RichKopilnick worked there in practice and they didn't think he looked comfortable. They think he could be pro bowl guard.

Interesting that it's been hours since this "news" broke, but there's been no confirmation.

Multiple reporters have said it and the team's website even has it. I don't think the team's website would post this unless it were true, do you?

Notification on my phone on Ravens app: Zuttah traded to San Fran. We get pick 186 and they get pick 198.

Seems like we just wanted anything we could get in addition to getting rid of Zuttah.

Swapping 6ths is better than nothing I suppose. And controlling where he ends up isn't a bad thing.

So Zuttah gone with at least jumping up 14-15 spots in the 6th. Something for getting rid of him I suppose. Now who? I am praying we make a run at Mangold because Jensen and Math guy are not good options imho.

True. I just wonder if we could have shook a little bit more value out of the trade though.

"math guy" lol. Yeah I think Mangold would fit us fine, more than Zuttah by the looks of it.

Mangold has no where to go but down, don't really get the hype in signing him at this stage of his career

We couldn't even just land a 6th?  Hell, just take a 7th if possible.  We had to package ours too?  It's better than nothing...

Maybe he can get healthy? It's the same stage Birk was in when he signed with the Ravens.

People really questioning the pick swap in the Zuttah trade?  Something is better than nothing, even if it is only a slight bump in the draft.  It was reported earlier today that we tried to trade him and got no takes.  Once that news broke, the 49ers came calling and we got something out of a move we were willing to take nothing for.

Pretty sure Mangold is older than when Birk signed here and at 33 I don't see how he has anywhere to go but down. And do we really need to invest into another older injury risk player?

If we did sign him, he would only be a short term solution until we could develop someone else.

They would be the same age.
