I still think letting Zuttah go is a bad idea.

This better mean something is being worked out with Mangold, who has been very quiet during FA.  Don't like letting him go with nothing behind him.

I guess it's true what they say. Dreams really do come true.

Pretty much my feelings right now.  It doesn't surprise me entirely that we're moving on from Zuttah but it also puts 2 holes on our OL right now and I'm not entirely sure what the plan is to fix them.

And about everyone I thought would be cut has basically been cut.  Can someone bring back up the cut/keep thread that was started last season.

Could definitely do Ozzie's job.  Should see the DL and OL I draft in Madden.  My wrs are disgusting too...

Maybe my view is biased by my overwhelming frustration with Zuttah's inability to contribute in any meaningful way at all, but I think this is addition by subtraction.

For those saying we don't have a plan, we have two in-house stop gaps.

Urschel looked just as good in limited time at center at the end of 2015. Jensen is a possibility, too, and I think Jensen fits the mold of what we want going forward. Whether he's the guy, I don't know, but he'll compete for this job. He's strong and physical.

Zuttah didn't have a great year last year but he still was rated as the 14th best center. I'm sure The Ravens have a plan but I hope Nick Mangold isn't  the  main plan .

Ravens not signing any FA offensive linemen as they are shifting their offensive focus towards 7 tight end sets.

I'm curious to see how Matt Skura does this offseason.  Apparently someone tried to sign him last year and we bumped his pay up to active roster pay for the last few weeks of the season.

Yeah. Heard that we really like him.

Still don't like getting rid of Zuttah, he wasn't great this past year but we could certainly do worse as we found out during the in between faze between Birk and him. Don't like that we have done literally nothing to address the line that was a huge limiting factor this past year, we've only taken a step back in that regard. Get ready, because I think this is a clear sign that we're targeting oline in the draft.

There is literally no olinemen left on the market worth signing, honestly a draft pick would be better than any of them and as Zrebiec reported, we are not tied to Mangold at all, who would be the only serviceable option.

That's my concern with Urschel.  I think Jensen has had some shining moments, but also some very bad ones.  Urschel just hasn't done anything impressive to me.  He's obviously smart, but isn't overly athletic and isn't overly strong.  Doesn't really bring much to the table other than a brain.

Premature move. This better be followed by both mo Claiborne and mangold, or at the very least re-sign doom or Webb on the cheap on top of mangold

I think you either need to read what I post more or just follow what a wise woman once said from the movie Frozen which is just let it go just let it go. ^_^

My guess would be Claiborne, but agree the move is premature, unless they believe someone on the roster will provide about what did.  Shouldn't be that hard.  Don't mind an OL rebuild to be honest.  Was just saying how when Yanda's gone, it was basically going to need to be done anyway.  Better to get the project started now.

I am concerned that an already mediocre offense has lost 4 players, 3 of which were very good players that made us not awful.  We've only added 1 in Danny Woodhead.  We're tight on the cap, the FA market is drying up, and I doubt we'll be able to solve everything in the draft.  I'm really hoping there's some intel that some cuts are about to happen elsewhere around the league.

We are gonna just have to wait to upgrade the offense next year in 2018. It's too much to overcome every need. We just have to let the defense carried us this year.

I think the same. If the Ravens had another shut down corner like Claiborne I think the Ravens start going into elite territory on defense. I know the pass rush sucks and still needs improvement, but that secondary is dangerous. Especially if the Ravens were able to convince Webb to come back (highly unlikely but still in talks).

Not sure where everyone is getting that Claiborne is a shut down corner? The guy has been a massive injury risk and major disappointment down in Dallas.

Yes, he would be a upgrade over what we currently have. But him and Jimmy together are just ticking time bombs. We still need more than him to beat these QB/WR stacked teams.

I think part of it is the FA believes a healthy Flacco will help the offense operate better.  He did start playing better later in the season and that might have them confident.  Who the hell knows, though.  Maybe a plan for the draft or considering a trade.  If Camp and Perriman can stay healthy, them and Wallace don't look that bad with the TE group.  The most important thing is trying to get an OL unit together that will actually hold up.

And if the intent is to let the defense carry this team, they better CB early.  They have shown they can somewhat succeed without a pass rush, but when Jimmy goes down, it's open season.

Would love to see the response when Jimmy and Claiborne both miss a 3 game stretch, playing patty cake on the sideline.  I don't know where everyone is getting this idea that Claiborne is this savior at CB either.  A little confusing considering he's just started showing potential, was considered a bust by most fans and can't even stay healthy.  That's exactly what we need in this secondary is another unreliable cb.

I'm cautiously excited about not having a backup plan at center. Maybe it'll light a fire under Ozzie's butt to go out there and actually get a real solution at center, like he did last year with Ronnie Stanley at LT. It gives me cause for concern, but maybe he'll be more aggressive in finding a solution, if there is no fallback option.
