Mock Drafts from the Media

We know Hardhead doesn't like projects (yeah right) and although he has a similar build to every other spare the Ravens have drafted up front Tanoh Kpassagnon looks like a guy to keep an eye on. He has accepted the invite to the Senior bowl. Worth a 3rd rounder?

read that as almost never

why? because he broke his ankle and never saw the field? obviously he can never do it from the trainers table, but thats not what were talking about...

he did it in college, whether you like it or not.

Jeremiah also forgot Lawson, Cunningham, Eflein in his top 50 and wrote about McKinley that he " ... is at his best when he's shooting gaps and relying on his quickness. Overall, McKinley could struggle on run downs but he's a major force on passing downs."
Can struggle on run downs? lol
DJ and Mayock have really started to lose some ground lately.

sounds accurate to me. cunningham should be in the top 50, elflein is debatable, but im not sure i would put lawson up there, theres a lot there to not like, and his description of mckinley is pretty spot on, he just anchors down and gets stationary with his blocker, it'll take a TON of development for him to be productive against the run in the NFL, he doesnt shed blocks or move cleanly through traffic at all.

One year is plenty enough to see how good a player is. That's not a factor for me honestly.

Why? He did it in college and even if he didn't you can learn to.

The more I watch him, I think he might go ahead of Wilson. Wilson has some holes, but he makes up for them with size and versatile to be used to blitz and help in run support. Lattimore and Jones seem to be right at the top.

I don't think Elfein is largely viewed as a top 50 prospect anymore. Lawson, with his injury concerns, could fall.

My thought with that set up was that Jones and Wilson were gone along with the other pass rushers ahead of him... If we were to draft Foster what would you do with him seeing as Mosley and Orr hardly ever come off the field?

Foster would replace Orr so quickly it would not be funny.

After watching Wilson again and noticing how horrible a tackler he is, I'll put Lattimore as the best CB to come out in the last 3 years. I've yet to see a major flaw that would be hard to correct in his game. Only problem is that he played only one year.

He's not a strong tackler or a very aggressive run defender, but that's not what you're paying him for.

He allowed a grand total of 17 completions against this year.

I think they'd probably be rated around the same if they were to come out in the same draft, which I'd be thrilled with because you'd be getting two potential All-Pros.

realistically youre probably right, you cant accurately predict a players mental progression, but foster appears the better athlete and playmaker, and definitely brings a lot more intensity to the field.

huge mosley fan though, dont get that confused lol, just praising foster.

Foster is probably the absolute surest tackler we've seen coming out of college in a very long time with an intensity to be a force up front. Excellent run defender and blitzer. Could easily have a great tandem with Mosley in coverage and Foster rushing. I'd easily take it.

We may decide to pay starting CB in FA and target Foster but I'm not sure we'd be able to get him at 16.

CJ Mosley's college tape wasn't much different, maybe Foster blitzes more due to slightly different D but Foster seems little faster. Those two would be the best LB combo since Willis/Bowman, by far.

That's why I'm afraid to watch tape on him. I don't wanna talk myself into wanting him as our pick

What? Eiflein might be the second best interior lineman behind Feeney?

Foster does seem faster and he hits hard even when he looks like he barely hits the guy. It almost looks effortless. Some say he is the most complete ILB since Kuechly. He covers ground fasts and has instincts so his coverage might not be too far off.

I think that Foster is a surefire bet to be gone by 9 to Cinci.

Nelson and Lamp might have him beat.

I think he is so under the radar that I hope we get him as late as our 4th or 3rd comp. most ranking don't even have him in top 5.

Really? I missed that. That'd be a huge blow.

I'm not sure if it's official but someone put a few links on the OL thread. Nelson was arguably the best guard, especially in run blocking, I was hoping a steal in the second

Feeney is the better run blocker but Nelson is the better all around package.

See, I'd say the opposite. I think Nelson is nasty and an absolute road grader and with Feeney, you're getting the best pass protector and the best all around player.

I know as of a few days ago, Matt Miller was still ranking him, but the deadline to declare just passed, so I'm not sure if he was included or not.

Just looked it up and he did decide to return.

I just don't see that man. When I watch feeney on tape he is blasting guys over and Nelson is a road grader himself but he looks a lot more composed and technical while feeney is just pancaking guys. Maybe I need another look

Have you watched some of his tape? I've seen him get blown up several times....he gets pushed back in the pocket often too. I know he rated really high but his tape isn't great
