Thats true, i forgot about him. 

I prob go Davis there too, hoping that i can grab a CB in round 2-3 bc i dont think the drop off is all that great from that top tier to the next.... whereas with WR i dont think theres any potential #1's beyond Williams/Davis.

Talk about trading back.  If this scenario happened id be happy with getting Davis in the late 20s, but that's not happening.  The rest isn't great with the amount of picks imo.  Not a fan of Anderson

That would be a weird draft. 

It seems like we have too many holes to fill to justify that trade up, although I like the trade-back part of it. 

Agree on Anderson. He's not going to add anything that Za'Darius doesn't already do.

He'll add bend and general competence. 

ZDS won't see a second contract with this team and may not see a second contract at all. He is incredibly incompetent at the pro level

ZDS may not make the final roster as it is, simply being better than him isn't gonna cut it. And honestly it's too high for him in my opinion considering they have Dan Feeney, Watt available at 48 so within trade range, couple good CBs, Elflein,, and your guy Tim Williams doesn't go until mid 3rd. Anderson just isn't the type of EDGE that we're in need of.

I agree, I like Anderson but he's really just a sound motor player, he doesn't jump out as a pro prospect imo, I think he's gonna find a place in the league and be solid, but he isn't what we need, we need a difference maker, a guy like Barnett, watt, williams, or even a guy like Derek rivers who I think is gonna be a steal for some team

I've been seeing more mocks lately where Corey Davis is available in the late 20s (Charlie Campbell's latest mock is an example, but I know I've seen others elsewhere). Makes me wonder if he's one of those players that the media is higher on than the coaches/GMs.

I think we agree on Za'Darius Smith being mediocre; I just don't see Anderson being anything more than average depth. He might get some hustle/coverage sacks (which is why I compared him to Smith), but I just don't see him being a real contributor, not with his lack of burst.

The NFL Network is doing a live mock draft and Ike Taylor chose Dalvin Cook as our pick. I don't know who was available before or after our pick, but I wouldn't be happy with Cook at 16.

Yeah I just seen that I would definitely traded back in that situation someone had Corey Davis going to the saints like what how does he help there awful defense

Corey Davis to the Saints is just funny. I guess I could see them taking a speed guy with Cooks gone but not in the first round.

I would be fine with Cook here as a player but the off field concerns make me think we pass and I am fine with that.

NFL network can be pretty bad. I remember they compared Perriman to Dwayne Bowe which was such a bizarre comp. Nothing even remotely similar between those two players other than maybe size.

Idk why they pay Ike Taylor or half of their employees. He clearly does 0 research or preparation when asked for his "expert" opinion. 

His CB ranking during the season always crack me up. And that's supposed to be his thing.

NFL Network isn't even watchable unless they're rebroadcasting a noteworthy game or doing one of their player or coach biographies. I've never gone to them for actual news or opinion on current events in football.

Back when rich eisen, prime, mooch, and Irvin did total access and Adam schefter and lacanfora were the primary breaking news reporters... the nostalgia hurts, I watched NFL network all day every day

I cant remember the last time I watched NFL network. I used to watch that 'good morning' show everyday while getting ready for work.

 

Now when I listen to random analysis videos they post or mocks, I just shake my head and go wut

Pretty much the same for me.  They got too caught up in the personnel and less about the NFL.  I don't need/want their opinions.  I want news.

If there was any year for us to move back and get more picks, it should have been last year but this year will work also. 

We aren't just one player away from winning a Super Bowl. We are probably a handful of players away. It would have been nice last year to do it, but this year could work also.

We did do it last year.  We moved back twice and ended up picking 11 players.

Our FO was so enamored with the flexibility last year's round afforded, I'd be surprised if they aren't planning to revisit.

Am I the only one who wants to punch Charlie Campbell? He is changing around every teams mocks but he has been dead set on us taking cam Robinson and Chris wormley for weeks. I'd call for ozzies resignation if that was our first 2 rounds

it's incredibly lazy if it isn't true - i guess the only reason he'd have for not changing them is if he thinks we are the only team who'd have these guys high and other teams won't which feels crazy - if he were changing the picks to those guys from other picks id be more worried but the fact that he's been set on those two through the whole process makes me think he's banking on michigan and bama bias to win the day and cant be bothered to change them... i just cant see any way that wormley is BPA even in the 3rd round let alone the first 2 rounds
