Charlie has us taking cam Robinson again.

Cant say I'd hate it, I would actually love the pick under one condition: he turns out to be a better GUARD than feeney and that's where we line him up, and then Lewis is a very good RT. That's a lot of ifs though.

And this is just based on what I've read about him, I haven't watched any of his film

Yeah, kind of the same reaction. Never watched Robinson, but I'll never hate on an OL pick, and from what I read he could be an All Pro RT or G if that's what we want him to be.

I can see Humphrey if Wilson is gone, I like Jones much more than both but Humphrey gets more hate than he really deserves. He's certainly not a finished product but he defended Mike Williams really well in the national championship, Williams just made a few circus catches. He isn't anywhere near my first choice but I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility. I think I'd honestly take Humphrey over Tim Williams and maybe Harris - I'm not a big Harris fan - and I know it was a joke but I'd take a heck of a lot of players over Ross.

I prefer jones too, he is my favorite corner along with Lattimore, but I think he is the second corner off the board.

I wouldn't mind Humphrey, I'd just hope that we trade back 4-6 spots, acquire a third or fourth round pick then reevaluate. At that point Dan Feeney might even be the better option.

And yes, Ross was a joke😆

I'm really hoping this happens instead. Robinson is a brawler. He can pave huge running lanes, but he is suspect in pass pro. His footwork at times is kinda slow and clunky, yet because he is so mammoth, he can often keep the edge guys at bay for a quick period of time. I'd give him an A in run blocking and strength, but a C+ to B- in pass protection. He might just be a better guard.

SBnation did a three round mock recently. They had the Ravens taking Quincy Wilson, Dawuane Smoot, and Isaiah Ford.

Smoot doesn't seem like a fit but you never know. It was a practical mock draft, nothing that seems as if it were a 'no way that happens' kinda pick.

Matt Miller posted a new 7 round mock after the SB. I'm not a big fan, it's hit and miss. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2691129-2017-nfl-mock-draft-matt-millers-post-super-bowl-predictions?utm_campaign=tsiphone&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=twitter.com

1 - CB Marlon Humphrey

2 - TE Jordan Leggett

3 - WR/RB Curtis Samuel

3 - DE/DT Jarron Jones

4 - DE/DT Nazair Jones

5 - QB Jerod Evans

6 - EDGE Ejuan Price

7 - RB De'Veon Smith

I don't hate Humphrey in the first, not BPA in my opinion but it's not a bad pick. Hate Leggett in the 2nd, last thing we need is another TE, especially taking one high. Samuel is a nice pick, very interesting player. Jarron Jones and Nazair Jones look very good on tape, but I question whether we need to take two Dlineman that high. I'm not opposed to taking a new backup QB and Evans has some nice potential in the 5th round. If Price is available in the 6th then it'd be in contention for the steal of the draft. I'm not a big fan of De'Veon Smith, especially if James Connor is on the board as Matt Miller has, I think Connor fits the RB mold that we're looking for in our #3 RB.

Overall I hate that we only addressed CB once and even worse we didn't address the Oline at all, lack of depth there is a big reason why we lost some of the games we did, especially during that 4 game skid early in the season.

I honestly don't like smoot. His film doesn't do him much service

I agree he's raw but he has good physical tools and work ethic to improve. My biggest question mark on him is his hands usage, but for a second rounder this is good value and make no mistake, he's still a guy that will win one on ones in the NFL.

I get what you're saying but we like to convert «stockier» DE into OLB that we can move around. Our ED guys aren't typically lengthy and Smoot fits the bill on a physical stand point.

@hn68wb4 Aside from the 2nd round pick and 5th round picks, I like that draft. Jarron Jones and Nizair Jones are great pickups for those spots and might really help use get pressure up the middle. Also, while Samuel and Dixon would be a great combination at RB.

In the 5th, I think some linebackers will be available to compete for Orr's old spot or even some under the radar, small school o-linemen. Though having a long term backup qb could be good if our current one isn't resigned.

Wow, I didn't even notice that. Heh, my bad. Nizair Jones is what I meant, of course.

I don't know man, that's a pretty serious allegation to make. Do you have any proof :P?

I'm questioning why the hell we would draft Evans since we have Mallet. It's not like he'd ever have a shot to be a starter here. I like the Samuel and Smith picks alot though.

Mallet is a free agent.

Mallet could sign elsewhere if someone else wants to give him a shot at starting. He could be the vet starter for a team that brings in a rookie qb.

Well turns out Ryan Anderson has a DV case as well. It was after his junior season, apparently him and his partner both got arrested. I don't think they hurt each other but rather some property lol. It sounds dumb and I don't mean to keep bringing these up but the ravens stated it will be counted during the draft process.

Didn't they say they'd look at it on a case by case basis though?

They did. But they also said anyone with a domestic violence charge will not be a raven. And that is a charge, it would be weird if they went against what they originally said

Since this is one of the more popular threads around here...

For all of you draftniks, we have 4 open slots left in our 2017 Forum Mock, which can be found in the Fantasy section. You control the entire offseason for a team, including free agency and a mock draft. Direct all questions either to the fantasy section or to my PMs. Think we have some members here that could be interested but just never venture into Fantasy Talk.

I'll take a look, but I doubt I can make any sort of commitment immediately

That was hardly a DV - she threw keys at his car, then he went and kicked her car. Girls can do that to dumb teenagers.

Ya I know it's really silly but it is classified as a DV charge. Idk how well look at that. We said we won't take anyone with a who has DV on their background. Wouldn't it be a strange if we still picked someone with that anyway. I mean I know it's ridiculous to even call it a DV case lol. It seems like they have their hands tied on this one. Its would just be awkward to take him in a sense after what they said, you feel my drift?

Todd McShay draft 2.0

bal.png?w=110&h=110&transparent=true

16. Baltimore Ravens, 8-8

Malik McDowell, DT, Michigan State

McDowell is arguably the best interior pass-rusher in this class. He didn't play with the same passion and toughness this season, which could cause him to slip a bit. But if you trust your defensive coaching staff and locker room to develop him and keep him motivated, McDowell could be a steal at this point in the first round. Another intriguing option is Michigan's Jabrill Peppers, given the Harbaugh connection and the Ravens' need at safety.

I've hated Kiper and McShay's picks. These fringe first round guys are not what we need especially when Ozzie is a genius at getting lineman at any point of the draft

Not when Reubon Foster is mocked to us.... He will be the best linebacker in the league in 3 years. There is no way he is a bust. Looks like the best inside linebacker to come out since Keuchly.

Yeah. I get it with Foster because he really is that good, but having others go to the Ravens purely because of some connection seems lazy.

There is no way Reubon Foster drops to 16. He is a top 10 draft pick.

Exactly! In the last six NFL Draft there have only been two players draft by the Ravens, but every time you look up someone is being mocked all because of the connection.
