He was the best of the old breed. The NFL won't be the same without him.  Camp... pay attention to this guy.

This makes me so sad.... But glad that we got to experience "Senior". What a truly great man. A friend of mine actually got to know him personally, and would agree he's a great guy. I'm gonna miss him... a lot.

HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN A RAVEN A LOT SOONER..

STEVE SMITH SR. WILL ALWAYS BE A RAVEN.

Perriman too.....  I like that Breshad is spinning the ball after catches....  Smith has definitely had an impact on these guys.

Fans thought we had no leadership. SSS is the epitome of leadership and I'm sure this has rubbed off on several of our players. I will be forever grateful he became a Raven even though for such a short time. I could not think of a more fitting climax to his great career but to go out with a big win in Cincy. Good luck Steve. You will be missed.

A man's man indeed. How fortunate have the Ravens been to be blessed with him for 3 yrs, hopefully even 4 ( now I'm getting greedy!)! Happy New Year and awesome 2017 for you and your family SSSr.

The Ravens best receiver, bar none. Perriman couldn't carry his shoes. Can't now, never will. Another Ozzie Newsome first round failure. The Ravens will really miss Steve Smith next year. I'm sure that Newsome will be drafting another lame wide receiver like ball dropper Perriman. Until someone else takes over the draft, the Ravens will continue to struggle to keep up with the better teams.

I love SSS. I wish he had been a Raven his whole career. Plays just like Anquan did. We'll see both in the HOF.

Agreed. Sad that the FO seem unable or unwilling to draft guys like this anymore.

Steve recently said that "this game gave him so much", I feel it was the other way around. It's always difficult to see a legend leave the game but, at least the game never left him.

See you in the ROH and HOF Steve.
