Ya pretty much the same for me lol. Another thing I never looked into last year was character and that ended up impacting our while draft, so I've been more focused on finding players who have A+ character this year as well

character came into it for me but i never delved as deeply into it as i have done this year

Ya me too. That's why I'm completely against us taking cook. Also cause I'm a dog lover and I would have a hard time rooting for him

this class has some real bad characters in it that cook isnt even close to the worst obvious "off our board" kind of guy

i think cook might be someone where he's not off our board but he might as well be because he'll have dropped low enough (say to the 2nd round or something) that there is absolutely no chance of him being there which i guess is not the same thing but it might as well be

Ya kinda like Noah Spence and tunsil were last year. They said they were both on our board but not as high as the players they took on Stanley and correa

Pass rusher this year please... Maybe Barnett??

I think that's on everyone's wish list - I really hope it happens but it's hard to see how he falls to us

Man, with all the TJ Watt cutups released today, you really see a special guy. He can get so quickly in the backfield.

From a measurables stabdpoint and based on the tape, Tarell Basham looks like a dream fit.

Which round is he projected to go in?

I'm hoping teams fall in love with the flashy guys like Takk and Reddick and Barnett falls to us.

I can never keep 3 guys straight:

Tyus Bowser

Tashawn Bower

Tarell Basham

All 3 edge rushers. All 3 more developmental guys, with length and athleticism but lacking production.

The one from Houston though seems to be getting buzz now in the media ( i think its Bowser) and may be a lot higher on some boards that initially thought.

I just refer to them by their schools at this point... which i think is Houston, Ohio and LSU.

Basham is from Ohio, he's projected to go in the 3rd but I wouldn't call him developmental, he's got a good bunch of IQ and is very aware. He wins by using his hands well and his speed to power conversion is elite. Great burst too.

I love Bowser.  Might not be your true edge rushing type, but the can can play anywhere in your LB group.  So developed in coverage already and has some good pass rush moves even though some improvement is needed.  Not the typical guy the Ravens would go after, though.

yeah i just finished watching tape on him and he looks more like a 4-3 OLB to me - he's really surprisingly accomplished in coverage already and i only saw him beaten in coverage properly once where he was 1v1 with a wide receiver which is never going to go well - not sure he has the size or bend to play 3-4 OLB though - he looks more like someone id want coming in as a blitzing linebacker rather than straight up rushing - he occasionally sets a good edge though - i have to say though he was completely overshadowed on film by Ed Oliver who was an absolute monster

for the ravens i prefer basham, he's raw and inconsistent but has good burst (he literally looks like he's been shot out of a cannon sometimes) and demonstrated a pretty good swim move to me - he's physical and hard to deal with - could use a bit of work in the run game outside of the occasional splash play but he looks like he reads the game pretty well (there was only one game available to watch so it's harder to project off that but he looked good in that one game)

tashawn bower looks like a guy who goes 6th round at the earliest - nothing really jumped out on tape... except jamal adams lol

Not to mention he's got some seriously long arms. I think NFL Draft profile says he's got 34" arms and 10" hands

Oh, didn't know. But I'm not surprised either, he has a sort of stutter bullrush that is ridiculous. He routinely puts the OT in the QB's face, it's something to watch.

I see him as a second rounder, talent-wise, but I guess he might still be there by our 3rd pick. I highly doubt someone with hus potental will fall to day 3.

Carl Lawson has greatness written all over him. I wouldn't mind him in the first tbh.

Starting to feel to me as if Reddick will not be on the board at 16.

He's definitely gone up the boards, but most projections I'm seeing, he's still in our range. Seems it could go either way.

Is it my imagination or are the national mocks more disjointed than normal? The top 8 or 9 guys seem pretty locked in, but deviations after that seem really significant. Lots of mocks have Williams sitting there ... and us not taking him. The kinds of deviations normally assigned to QBs are at about the same level for other positions. For example, Along with Williams, Corey Davis is all over the place.

The only edge rushers that are feasible for us seem to be Reddick and McKinley.

the problem i think is that there is no clear idea of whether the qbs/rbs are going in the top 15 - and then on top of that the opinions of media guys on mike williams, corey davis and derek barnett are all over the place - media guys are just picking their favourite guys/the guys they just watched on tape at each position hence awuzie, charlton, reddick, howard, humphrey, ross being inconsistently mocked all over the place
