Baltimore wasn’t going to have cornerback Jimmy Smith (ankle) available for Sunday’s game in Cincinnati, but they can now get a look at rookie sixth-round wide receiver/returner Keenan Reynolds after he’s spent all season on the practice squad.

the RAVEN'S are paying high value contract's at QB and CB and getting second string value, need to dump both contract's,cut and move on.even when healthy,SMITH is no shutdown corner,FLACCO played ok the last few games, not enough to keep his job.if we can draft MAHOMES from TEXAS TECH and CB KING and bring in MARVIN LEWIS,if fired,we consistantly become a good team.

How many playoff games has Lewis won? And if hes so good why are the Bengals in 3rd place?

"Reynolds has continued to make progress." COMPARED to who? Hester? Hestor was just another classic decision that coaches had to run into the ground before making a change.

I just don't know fellow fans what the heck is really going on with this RAVENS TEAM anymore. The word STRANGE tops the list.

I think the word strange fits you better. You must have felt really good when we lost last week because then you can boast about all your negative comments as being true. I sincerely hope you do the same with your NFC team. I would really hate to think you have centered all your negativity on the AFC.

I don't think there is anything strange about it at all.  The guy worked hard all season for minimal pay.  Now he's being rewarded with a game check and a place on our off-season roster.  Perhaps you could just be happy for this fine young man.

Jimmy Smith was not going to play so why not put K Reynolds on the active roster. NOW USE HIM!! Don't just suit him up. I want to see him on every kickoff as the main returner and the same for punts, also be a gunner on punt returns. Special teams for now is his niche. A good offensive coordinator (don't let Harbs pick him) can work on him into the offense next year.

Why can't we get a draft pick like Zeke Elliot? someone like Tyreek Hill? Xavier Rhodes? Marcus Peters? Why can't we give rookies opportunities and see what they got? I understand practice is important, but there are a lot of players who practice poorly, but shine in a real game. Our main issue has been an OC who can utilize all the talent we have. We have no trick plays which is pathetic lol

I guess Ronnie Stanley, Kenneth Dixon & Tavon Young don't count?

Should we really be that excited that we're going to start a 6 round draft pick? smh.. Anyhow, I wish one day that Oz and DaCosta would spend a first round pick on a CB- look what happened when he used it on Jimmy Smith although Jimmy Smith spends more time in the hospital every year than on the field- smg again... Talking about lack of play makers- the only one that would be close would be SSS- Flacco isn't a playmaker, as he isn't elite. We don't really have one single stud on this team- just a bunch of wash ups or senior citizens that used to be playmakers (eg. Suggs and SSS)

1) You have to have a horrible record to draft that high to get players. Elliott 4th overall (The Ravens had the 6th pick and used it to get Ronnie Stanley), Hill 5th overall (Again, Ravens had the 6th pick), Rhodes was 25th overall in 2013 (the Ravens won the Superbowl and had the 32nd pick that year), and Peters was 18th overall (Ravens had the 26th pick that year).

2) Generally you have to give up a lot to trade from the very late picks in the first round to get to the very top picks in the first round meaning sacrificing picks that could turn into good players. The Ravens have made a franchise out of hitting a lot of good to star level players in the 3-5th rounds.

3) Xavier Rhodes just started a mutiny in Minnesota. This was the first season he's really done anything special.

4) Our OC is a coaching carousel because if we have a great one and a great season, other teams are picking off our talent to be head coaches. And we run A LOT of trick plays if you ask me, too many when we should be bread and butter pounding that ball down the other teams' throats before we play action pass (trick play BTW) deep instead of doing a 2-3 yard play action pass without running the ball at all.

Look around the NFL and find out what some absolutely trash QB's are getting paid (some more than Flacco mind you) and then get back to me on that. The only CB getting paid big money now is Jimmy Smith, Webb has redone is contract a couple of times.

Let's see you had an injured Campanaro or an undrafted rookie who kept fumbling the ball all the time, or you take a chance on a future Hall of Fame return man to see if he's still got any juice left. Tough choice. The Ravens did what they had to. Chris Moore is not the answer as he's made some real bone headed decisions on KO's. The Ravens just didn't have anyone else.

If that were the case, he would have been on the field.

Future HOF made a lot of mistakes too. Reynolds should have been given a better chance than a meaningless last game of the season.

Do you know Reynolds showed anything in all of those practices to warrant a roster spot? Do you know that he cured his fumbling issues or learned enough as a WR to contribute there or as a special teams player on coverage units? No, you don't. I am sure the coaches know more about this than any of us fans do and if he was lighting it up on the PS and was making a real name for himself I am sure he would have been on the roster and getting reps immediately on a team that was trying to make the playoffs.
