Blame joe for not being open all game. Blame joe for sending smith and Aiken deep all year instead of Wallace or perriman. Blame joe for shaving points off the board early in the season. Blame joe for dropped passes all season. Blame joe for being joe. Get over it flaccos our guy period. Also blame joe for that under throw by mallett for a pick lol

So Joe is the only qb under these circumstances?  Cool... Happy New Year.

Anyway... IN the grand scheme, I got what I wanted which was a loss and we messed with Bengals draft position.  Hopefully the Mosley injury isn't serious.  Feel awful for Steve Smith.  Would like the Browns to win so they don't get #1 pick, but whatever.

What did Simms say? Can't hear the game ATM

He was like,

"If you held a gun to my head and asked me if SSS is a HoF receiver, I'd have to say no. Was he ever one of the top 5 WR's in the NFL in a single season? That's a no."

Mallet is better than Joe

Aww man!  Don't say that!  Don't let the frustration get to you OU. :229031_rofl:

Chris Simms: "Has Steve Smith ever been one of the five best receivers in the game in a single season?"

The guy was a triple crown champion in 2005. The last to do it in 30 years. But he was apparently not even a Top 5 WR that season. Go home, Chris. You're drunk.

Be proud of yourself, SSS.  Way to call it a career.  You have a lot of life to look forward to ahead.  Best wishes.

DL looks gassed and as bad as it is, Pees has done really well with the DL in terms of pinches and gap attacks. I personally think they should be playing less snaps, offense does nothing what so ever to help this defense out.

No sorry. He got butt slammed early, which is typically his forte in having a great first half and than not adjusting,

Games like this are why I truly don't think Steve will retire a Raven. Targeted just 5 times in his final game while Pitta gets a dozen throws (all under 10 yards). Sad. Thanks for your effort and passion, Sr. Sorry it had to end like this.

Give Joe Julio Jones, Roddy White and the GOAT TE and he might do the same. Or just Julio and a good O-line.

Flacco is not that QB. I'm sorry, you are being a bit optimistic. Flacco has proven to be a mediocre, middle of pack QB in the regular season that can get hot in the big games. He just doesn't exhibit the cerebral capacity too be much more than that.

Yeah that's a bit messed up and seems unnecessary when it's a guys last game and he's had the career he's had.

Man, so sad.  Steve Smith was always meant to be a Raven.  I'm glad we got to witness even a small part of such a great career.

8-8, 5-11, 8-8 isn't being a great team or a great coach. It is a classic example of mediocrity or worse.

i swear, you can't make this stuff up! :229031_rofl:

I guess everyone got what they wanted 58 fewer minutes same number of Ints that's the reason he is a career backup

Don't forget the playoff season at 10-6... even though we needed help from the Chargers to get in.

What a lousy retirement game. Would it have killed Flacco and/or Mornhigweg to target him more?

Yea very upsetting, at least Mornewhig is surely about to get the axe, he can take his mediocre system with him...Maybe the browns will hire him.

Just seen the score, wow! As if we got beat by 17 points to THAT Cincinnati team! Can't wait for the off-season to arrive along with free agency, the combine & the draft. It's quickly becoming a better time of the year than the football itself.

This season was disappointing, but it was a pleasure to watch Steve for the last time. I hope the Ravens get back on track next season because I'm tired of watching other teams in the playoffs.

Hard to see SSS sitting on the bench with a towel over his head!!!  The Ravens should be ashamed for not getting him more involved in this game plan today...at least he comes to play!

Ain't that the truth!!!

Also seems unnecessary to say that on live TV after what happened in Istanbul not even 24 hours ago.
