Week 17 - Baltimore Ravens at Cincinnati Bengals

So, this is why winning in Pitt would likely have not made a difference as far as playoffs are concerned. The Bengals own the Ravens, and their D owns Joe (most defenses do); so winning in Pitt would have only prolonged the inevitable.

I've known in my gut and heart that we couldn't possibly win in Cincy. But, I knew we had a chance in Pittsburgh. God was good to us. Losing today in the manner we are losing to lose the championship and wild card berth would've been really cruel.

Lol,

Goofy announcer just said "I cant believe the space around these receivers" that would be our Pees Special Prevent Zone defense, play 10-15 yds off the ball

Seeing the prevent defense this early should show that the game isn't being taken that serious

Harbaugh just signed an extension, he's not going anywhere this season, especially not over a week 17 game after playoff elimination. Seems like next year is his make or break.

An extension doesn't mean that your job is secured, if I can recall Jeff Fisher signed an extension this year before he got fired.

Wonderful isn't it

Surely, the Ravens performance today couldn't be a surprise to ANYONE in here today.  Right?

In other words OU, what we've seen from them all season long is what we get.  They have already shown us who they are.  This is nothing new! ;)

This is nothing but pure embarrassment.  I could handle a score being this bad if we were out there trying some new players and things to head into next year, but considering we're doing nothing different...  This is quite sad.

Joe is "ok" when compared to who else would be available but he had a good run from 2008-2012 where you could never count him out. He played great or terrible. Then after the SB and his payday I might add he had 1 good year and that was thanks to Kubiaks system. He seems to have lost whatever he had before the SB. Drive I guess. Its like he did it and now he's done.

He looked pretty good last week helping navigate multiple 4th Q leads for this Ravens team

but hey let's all continue to bash him

How about the playoffs... Playoffs Dalton looks like Ryan Leaf in the playoffs

We don't have the right to use the "playoffs" as an argument. Remember, we don't get there much any more either.

Flacco really needs to cut down on the picks next year, 1 every game is getting ridiculous

doesnt even look like this will be competitive.  I'm all about draft position now, but a loss means nothing if those other 7 & 8 win teams don't win.

Back when we had the 4 game losing streak I kept saying I just hope we don't go 8-8 with bad draft pick. That's a recipe for mediocrity Jeff Fisher type stuff.

colin cowherd called harbs the east coast jeff fisher

All the people talking about flacco in playoffs vs how Dalton is should remember  that  you  need to be good enough to get there first.

Precisely.  These fellows seem to think that winning is just for everyone else.

That's so unfair, Fisher doesn't have anywhere close to the success Harbaugh does, 10 playoff wins

Pretty sad when you can only pull a handful of games to help your argument.

This beatdown today "may" just "may" be the thing that this Ravens FO and coaching staff need in order for them to get off of their asses and FIX THIS MESS in the off season.

He's pretty underwhelming every time he plays the Steelers and also in prime time games. Dalton usually only looks like a pro-bowler against Baltimore.

If it's up to me, I'm subbing all of the starters out after the half.  Let the young guys learn.  There's nothing else to play for.

If Steve Smith wants to play QB in the second half I'm on board. Hell, hand him a clip board and let him be OC too while Mornhinweg is escorted out of the stadium.

you would think a 5-11 season would have been the motivation for that.

Oddly enough, the Ravens were 1-4 in the games that Flacco did not throw a pick and 7-3 in games that he did... this game may take the total to 7-4 though.

But Flacco finally threw over 4000 yards. That officially makes him elite, right?

Imo, Joe is only good when we actually commit to running the ball....like a 50/50 mix of run/pass.....and even knowing when to run and when to pass, when to play action, and when to check to a pass or check to a run based on defensive alignments, but that would lend itself to Football IQ, which the Qb, OC, and HC seem to be lacking..   and thats why my umpteen previous posts call for coaching changes, in the hopes that somebody with a football brain can fix this doggy doo we are seeing on a regular basis...Ray and Ed covered up a lot of the problems, but now the coaching has been exposed for what it is.....NOT THAT GOOD

Going to cowherd for analysis would be like going to Skip Bayless for the same thing. They're blowhards.
