[News] Steve Smith '89 Percent Sure' His Final Game Will Be Sunday

25 posts in this topic

The Ravens wide receiver got emotional talking about the impending end of his career, saying he got a wink from God during Wednesday’s practice. The feisty 16-year veteran said he’ll miss the competitiveness and teammates.

Steve Smith needs 235 yards for 1,000 yards.
The Ravens Single Game Record for Receptions is 13.
This game is meaningless besides being SSS last game.

Let's THROW HIM THE DANG BALL so he can go out as a 1,000 yard WR who set the Ravens Single Game Record in his last game. I want to see a 15-240-1 line.

Can't think of a more fitting tribute for a player who defines & exemplifies what it means to "Play Like A Raven"

it sucks as a Raven fan to watch us get guys like SSS at the tail end of their careers. SSS, Boldin, Mason... just once i wish we would draft a WR to keep around for the long trip. thanks for the memories, god bless in your retirement SSS!

Triple " S " had a Super Bowl coming but a very very very bad pass against the pats prevented him from getting his ring! Smh So glad he became a Raven and will miss his fire out there on the field! STEVE SMITH SR. I "SALUTE" YOU!
"When you see this face that means I just scored"!

Why not deliver the compliment without the negativity?

There is no doubting the type of player and man that Steve Smith is after that presser. I'm just disappointed his final game is away and our fans don't have the chance to send him out right.

Hard to believe this is the same 89 who, at one time, was regarded as a bad egg, if not an outright punk. Seems like he figured out a way to keep all of his good qualities, while shedding some of the bad ones. Great story, really...

Is he capable of waiting to see how we draft before he closes the door for good or not? That'd be funny if that's what he's doing.

I am always so surprised when "fans" dog our own players ..tut tut ..support our players people!
As for Steve Smith Sr. I will miss him. I will miss his courage of conviction, his authenticity and his dominance. He was never afraid to say who he was and he owned his mistakes. He is a beast of a player and always has been.
Thank you Steve, it has been a pleasure to watch you throughout the years. Your true grit, perserverance and tenacity made each game memorable. Enjoy your retirement, you have certainly earned it!
