I think we sign Garçon just seems like our front offices move... but Alshon and Vincent Jackson are out there I guess I'm just wondering do you guys this Mike and BP get the helms or do we sign someone!

Have to sign a veteran possession receiver. Neither Wallace or BP are trustworthy enough, have the route running ability or have the hands to be that type.

All I know is I am going to miss STEVE SMITH SR !!! As far as who steps up only time will tell but we have had this situation before and sad to say in previous years none of the drafted players ever seemed to step up with exception of T. Smith but players Oz traded for Boldin and free agents Oz signed SSS and Mason always seem to come in and perform. Whoever we get to fill the spot  I hope they stay a while.

So do I which is why I'd rather go younger with Alshon but I just don't see our FO doing that I'm fine with Garçon I just don't want another Q or SSR as much as I loved them I just want someone who will be able to finish joes career with him

I can agree with your post. I would like to see Perriman mature but as with any younger player still T.B.D.???

So would I and I think the FO has seen enough big play ability to just make the cheaper move of Garçon which won't hurt Mikes ego cause I bet he wants to be the guy and I think we sign a FA CB idk this offseason should be fun to see what direction this team takes

I'll miss SSS, hes a fearless player and always lifts the team when our offense needed someone to follow.

As for Jeffrey, well he is a playmaker and looks to command a 5 year $55-60M range contract, but he's also injury prone and recently served a suspension for being a drug cheat so you have to consider those things as well.

I really wish we could have gotten SSS a ring. With his fire and passion, he really deserves one. We were simply not good enough of a team during his stay here ... I don't want to think how bad we'd have been had we not put him on the roster.

Just one of those players with a swagger and attitude that is in short supply on this team. He will be missed.

Oh, you better believe that if Jeffrey came here and got a nice contract - the moment he gets hurt (which history tells us will happen), we'll have the chorus of people shrieking about how we make bad contracts with injury prone players. If we don't go for him, then the same people will shriek that we're not willing to take risks and play it too safe.

I agree I wish more then anything we could've got him a ring

89% is not 100%... who knows? Maybe he'll change his mind again, but we still need to address the position in the offseason.

No doubt. The level to which we address the position will depend on what we think of Wallace. He showed signs of returning to at least something closer to his old self than we've seen in a couple years, but to say he did not finish strong would be an understatement.

He's due $8M and would save $5.75M off the cap. That's a nice chunk of change and could go a long way to signing someone other than an aging former star WR. Now, who would that be? I'm not sure if it is Jeffrey ... but there isn't much on the FA market. Perhaps we could seek a trade of the ilk that we made with Q.

If we stick with Wallace, we'll look to sign someone like Garcon. If we are willing to part ways with him, then we'll obviously need to use that money on the WR position and not spend it elsewhere.

So garçon is gonna be the player everyone falls in love with on the board this offseason?

He'll have a nice new Gold Jacket in 5 or so years.

Not sure about the falling in love part ... he is just the prototypical aging former star that is available and that would be a replacement for SSS. Personally, I don't know whether it is him or someone else ... which is why I said we'd possibly sign "someone like Garcon".

Well he's already 30 so he fits the Ravens criteria.

I'm usually not on board with these types of things, but at this juncture before any cuts take place, he makes a ton of sense for us.  Rare that I actually say that lol

I hope and think we keep Wallace. He could very well get 1,000 yards this season, still has a lot of speed, and is only 30, but he's not "the guy", and our front office shouldn't look at him as such. We need a big bodied WR that can go over the middle and absorb the hits, as well as burn a Corner on a 9, and that guy is Alshon. He has injury concerns, but look at the miserable Bears' offense. He was really their only choice especially when White went down. He wouldn't be the only choice here, and he will bring a Q-like presence to the team, something we've been sorely lacking since we released him. He's the perfect target for Flacco, and I hope Ozzie signs him. Him, Wallace and Breshad sounds pretty formidable for your starting three WR's.

Plus more time to spend with his family, which is more important than anything. I think he'll be okay, lol

Don't get me wrong. I'd love to have the WR group of Alshon, Wallace and Perriman. The problem is, I'm not sure where the $ is coming from to sign Alshon, if it doesn't come from cutting Wallace. It might be possible, but we're going to have to get rid of pretty much everyone that is on the cut line aside from Wallace to sign Wagner, our rookies and fill out the roster with other pieces and parts. We may be able to get creative with the contract and fit it in, but it would be tight.

Maybe a Flacco pay cut and or Dennis pay cut idk all the details about there contracts but two guys I could think of that would be willing to take for the benefit of the team

I'm fine with letting Wagner leave and replacing him with Lewis if we keep Ducasse. I'm also fine (but hesitant) in letting Pierce replace Williams. Everyone who is on the cut line can leave if that means signing Alshon. It's time for an infusion of young talent, but we'll probably sign Vincent Jackson and call it a day 😑

I don't get it either.

Alshon seems injury prone and is coming off a suspension.  I don't truly trust any of the other guys that much as well, but wouldn't mind making a move as long as the price is right.

Dennis either needs to take a pay cut or leave. We're stunting the growth of our four, young talented TE's by keeping him on the roster. He makes a lot of catches, but can't do anything with them. We need someone who fights for yards or at least has speed.

In that scenario, I've already considered Williams a goner. Now, if we didn't bother to sign Wagner, then I do think we'd be able to use the other cuts to sign Alshon.

The price should be right, given the fact he's injury prone and coming off of a suspension lol. We have to take a chance.

They're both replaceable with people already on the roster, but Williams is a fan favorite but really slowed down towards the end of the season. I'm not sure we want to keep him if he's going to be so inconsistent. Our run D really fell apart
