At a snowy, bitter cold Heinz field the next great NFL quarterback will make his name known. And he will lead a team that has played for eighteen straight weeks into the promise land. With nerves as icy as the Pennsylvania air, and a cannon for an arm he will slice through the low visibility of the snow and the howling winds. We have reached a crossroads my friends.

Two roads diverged in a wood, and the Ravens-
The Ravens took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

God bless the Ravens. Regardless of what happens today, they have already won.
I'd love to hear John Facenda recite that.

They planned to do it right but they had a limited amount of time to do it with all the other games played there. So they sort of botched it and made it worse then it was originally because of all the rain.

I guess I shouldn't give somebody who does this for a living that much leeway. I like the idea of real grass but they play too much on it for such a crappy climate.
I disagree.... I say it is the best field in the league! :D

This ain't no "greatest show on turf". The field forces a physical grudge match type of game. Usually the more physical team wins. That is they way the Steelers (and the Ravens) play football.

So there should be no excuses.
Don't get me wrong. I don't mind Heinz field. For a team like the Ravens, it isn't that much of a hinderance. But the teams with the high power offenses, are the teams that tend to struggle.

I prefer it for a road game, compared to playing in a dome.

But it looks like snow has been taken out of this evening's forecast. It says 0% chance of perc. through out the hours of the game. Bummer.

The cold is just as bad because muscles tighten up and you can't really get a good grip on the ball.

So doesn't have as big of an effect on the game as rain or cold. It just looks cooler. B)
