[News] What You Missed at Pittsburgh Steelers

It's not that Mosely fell, it's that Powers was already on the ground - as usual.

Powers dove at the ball. He wasn't initially covering Brown but the Steelers ran a pick/rub play and he had to switch to Brown which left him trailing on the play - he made a dive for the ball. Can't blame him on that play - Weddle & Mosley have to make the tackle (which in reality they did but AB made a great play by reaching out).

There was another play that I thought was a good play call that was executed really well and really showed off Ron Stans agility. It was 3 and 3, and it was either at the end of the first or beginning of the second. It was a run right up the gut between Zuttah and Ducasse. Stanley pulled around the center and made a great block to allow Dixon to get the first. Another play which I was pleasantly surprised about was when AB got an offensive pass interference call on a bomb that he caught on the Ravens sideline. Tavon was stride for stride with him and AB gave him a little push so he could catch the ball. The call was definetly justified but it just seems like we dont get a lot of those types of calls.

...why was Mike Wallace only targeted once or twice the whole game??!?! If SSS can get open so can MW. I know Wallace was furious after the loss. They never showed him on the field after the game or even during the game. And the last play of the game why would our strategy be to throw the ball in the middle of the field with 4 secs left for minimal yardage when we should've had 8 guys shoot down to the endzone and wait for a hail mary and hope one of our guys gets the tipped ball. That hook and ladder crap never works (if that's what they were gonna try)! Hadn't the ball been tipped our receiver would've been tacked on the spot anyway...there were at least 2 Squeelas closing in on him. Then the other irritating thing is, during they're last possession, our defenders (Webby) didn't seem to realize we need to keep those guys inbounds, no matter how hard they fight. On they're last drive we let about 3 of their receivers fight their way to the sidelines to stop the clock.

We missed a win.

Not only did we miss the Win, we missed the playoffs again...!
What we also missed was Ravens dominance !
We have been missing that for way too long ...

On our final kickoff, they should have kicked a line drive down the center of the field to force a return. That would have taken some time off the clock giving the Steelers less to work with on offense.

HEARTBROKEN. That's all I can feel. Even now, 3 days from the game. I can't even be mad at our OC and defense and whoever, I just feel crushed. Very similar to the 2011 AFC championship loss.

However, the difference is, this time around we do not have a team leader like Lewis was in 2011 who was able to turn the bitter bitter loss into motivation that ultimately sprung us to SB. We do not have a leader like that anymore on this team. And that has been one of the main things missing from this team. A true leader. Suggs is a leader in a different kind of way, as is SSS, Weddle etc. But we are missing true face of the franchise.

Players need leadership on the field, everyone on defense should have known to tackle in-bounds. Peez is crapppppppp! CBs are soft, and Weeb is lost. Period!
