[News] Late For Work 12/27: Young Ravens Fan Has Meltdown After Christmas Loss

40 posts in this topic

Brees with 623 attemps has - 4858 yds and 35 TDs with 14 INTs. Flacco 4050 with 20 TDs and 14 INTs. Nothing to write home about in my honest opinion. Flacco played poorly and inconsistently all year with a couple of decent games. Candy coating this doesn't serve us well and he needs to be held accountable for his poor outing and not lauded for his first 4000 yd season. Sorry I am a Flacco believer and fan, but the truth is the truth.

Poor Gavin! I feel for him but at least he watched the game. I sacrificed watching it because I have this stupid superstition that me not watching the game increases our chance at a W. That superstition was flatly debunked and I'm never putting myself in that position ever again. And please fire somebody Steve Bisciotti just for the sake of fan sanity. Harbaugh is a magnificent motivator and enabler but not such a fine coach. So, if you decide to keep him, make sure the quality of his assistants improves multifold. He needs to hire better coordinators and how in the world did he pick Trestman over Adam Gase? And what does that tell you about his football judgment? I know I'm being unfair and rambling but just let me vent!

why? we just had a phenomenal draft, and added 3 good free agent targets (1 of whom was unfortunately injured) - what more do you want ozzie to do? come out and play tight end for the team too?

Not this years draft so much, but overall building of team in recent years, Oz has missed a ton on impact players , most FA signing are older backend of career players, or lower end role players , listen I love Oz , with that said this team needs some fire, I just don't see that with this FO Head Coaching combo...

I have a feeling that everyone maybe leaving after the season! The last 3 seasons have been heartbreak, after heartbreak, after heartbreak. Gavin should feel this way, because we all do! It hurts like hell.  I feel pain for all our Ravens fans & players.                                                                                                                                                 I feel its time to clean house. I like Harbs as a coach, but i rather have an offensive coordinator like kyle shanahan or josh mcdaniels so Joe Flacco can have stability as a playcaller. Morninweg & Pees must leave. The offensive line must be rebuilt, the defensive line need younger pass rushers, and the secondary needs more youth and physicality. I want Baltimore football back, that "smash-mouth" football!

Can't blame it all on Flacco. The system was not set up well from the start. No consistent run game and when you expect a 37 year old, Mike Wallace a burner, and Breshad Perriman another burner to play in a dink and dunk system catching hitches all the time it won't turn out well. The team needs to go back to the deep passing game.

It's a shame we have to play Steve's last game away. He doesn't get to enjoy his own fans having a chance to give him a proper farewell on the field. Thank You Steve.

Totally agree. But we need to get better in protection. Roethlisberger barely broke a sweat and didn't get sacked once. West and Juszczyk missed blocks and gave up easy sacks. Also, until the other Team knows the Ravens are dedicated to the Run they are gonna play Zone to take away the deep ball.

Fans are disappointed sure. How do you think the players and coaches feel? I admire our team. That never quit and never give up attitude is music to my ears. Go Ravens. By the way, Harbs is a very good coach!

I have no wisdom on how to correct anything wrong on our team, or what should change, I'd much rather NOT go down that road as a fan because I honestly am not a professional coach, it just seemed like our guys were always on the verge of breaking out, (like the game against the Phins) but never got there. If we do beat Cincy come Sunday, we will finish with a 9-7 record, which after last year, I will gladly take, and even if we don't, 8-8 is still better than last year and not a losing record.
I will ALWAYS look to next season with my usual excitement and big hopes for our men in Purple, love my Ravens no matter what, and I always will 👍😎🏈

You are my kind of Fan. I agree 100% with what you said. We as fans don't know or see what happens everyday at practice and for us to try to tell Harbaugh how to coach or Ozzie how to draft is nutz. Cant wait for the next game and for the draft and for the next season. Its all good.

I agree about 89% with you Sami, to steal a line from a legend. I think the one thing we can say is that Harbs should get himself an OC who can and will implement the game plan/strategy that he wants. I think he knows that and what is suited to Joe's strengths.
