What about Jeff Fisher? Now before you throw this comment away, here me out. His teams always have a solid running game and defense. The only thing he never had was a good quarterback. We have all three of those things. But hey, its just an idea.

I can think of 7-9 reasons why we don't want Jeff Fisher.

And in my personal opinion a very BAD idea, just sayin', lol.

Jeff Fisher over Harbaugh.

Yea why not, let's get the guy whose never won anything and thinks it's 1957, at least we can get good draft picks every year.

I'm not trying to be rude, you did say hear me out and I do agree QB development wasn't his strong suite, but nah, especially his hatred for the Ravens too.

He was the number 1 seed with the Titans back in 2008. But no, I understand why it probably wouldn't be the best idea. Plus I didn't know he hated Baltimore.

This year is on Flacco. He needs a good kick in the pants. Next is the offensive play calling and then all coaches.....despite all the sugar coating of the broadcasters.

Pees being gone should be a conversation and a decision by tomorrow morning after tonight and the last 3 weeks and the last 5 seasons. Should be an automatic and if it isn't, it will be another season of almost ran.

At least we'd be able to beat the Seahawks if we hired him. :P

This defense needs some more grit. Stop losing when your leading at the end of the game. I'm so heated right now. It's annoying as hell. I'm seriously pissed off about this one because you could see it coming, it just feels like other moments.

New OC and System please btw.

I don't like Harbaugh, but whoever said Jeff Fisher.  Please.  Stop.  Anyway, something needs to happen.  Same crap every year is getting old.

You don't score multiple touchdowns, and no interceptions (I don't count that last one,) with a chance to win the game at the end and not have it going. Our offense was bad this year, but it got its act together tonight. Our D is fully to blame IMO.

And it's Christmas, let's not be insulting towards each other, k?

If not for the 2 interceptions by the D, the game wouldn't have been close. The D is not fully to blame, the team played a determined opponent tonight.

I though Marty M play calling was pretty good in this game . Unless John Harbaugh is fired then I think it would be best to build with Marty M going forward.

I think moving on from Harbs has to be done at this point, I think his "Play not to lose" mentality has poisoned the team and made us push overs, always on edge about trying not to lose instead of focused on winning. Which we saw from Tomlin and the Steelers today.

Season over and this team got what they deserved.  Too many lapses and bone headed mistakes.  Poor coaching at crucial times.  This team for years has seemed to lack focus throughout.

its been like that since ed and ray left......they were the coaches.....harbs is not a coach he relies on everybody else to make the decisions

Didn't the offense score a go ahead TD with only a little over a minute left in the game? I think that puts you in a position to win. Not to mention the initial 10 pt lead the defense had to begin the 4th quarter that they squandered.

Defense put us in position to win the game.  Two picks inside the 30, if the offense scores tds there game over.  But sure, give it to Flacco. The legit worst offense i have seen in a ravens uniform. Where is Trent Dilfer, Jermaine lewis, Jamal or ray Rice and the 2000 Ravens D when you need them.

Not to be too rude, but did you have any other suggestions? A Jeff Fisher defense would not have given up a 75 yard game losing touchdowns. Plus his teams always play hard for him. Would it be a downgrade to replace Harbs with him? Yes. But instead of trashing someone with a bad idea, maybe you could offer up a better idea.

There's absolutely no way this should even be in consideration.

Harbs is the glue that holds the coordinators/players together. A football  coach he is not, it's been thoroughly exposed the last couple years.

I agree, I don't think we should keep Marty at OC.

I understand the logic behind firing Harbs, but who would we replace him with?

Although I don't support it, it wouldn't surprise me at this point tbh. Question is who would replace him

I'm not in favor of it, though I see the reasoning behind it. Perhaps he is part of the problem though. These coordinators definitely need to go, both of them.

No significant pass rush.  2nd game in a row where our D couldn't stop the run.  Aiken can't get his head around because he lacks awareness. Perriman drops a ball and then double clutches next catch.  All pro long snapper airmails a snap. Bad Joe looks awful on checkdowns, but throws like a champ downfield.  Williams and Jernigan essentially disappear. Suggs looks like a snail.  Waller drops a TD ball.  Just wasn't our day, but if we don't absolutely clean house Harbs, Newsome the whole works I'll be disappointed because we are not sitting on a playoff team for next year or near years to come. I'll leave it on the Bengals outcome, if and only if we win, Harbs can stay.

Ravens all the Sudden look just like Bob Irsays Colts

You do realize the colts consistently finished with records worse than last years record and this years record. They never even went 8-8 in the early 80s

Ravens should hire Norv Turner as a Offensive coordinator and l hate to say it but if John Harbaugh gets fired maybe they should hire Wade Philips as head coach because he could also help the aggressiveness for our defense.

If this team actually plays any starters next week I'll be surprised. They should play every MD high school senior. At least then the offense might do well. Since 2012 Harbaugh has succeeded in destroying the legacy of Ray Lewis

The Steelers averaged over 11 yards per play in the fourth quarter.

The last three weeks have exposed the Ravens as pretenders on defense. That's ugly.

The bad was the offense's collapse in the first half.

Joe Flacco was good. If only Pitta and Perriman had stepped up.

Offense: I was pretty happy with Flacco's play. RBs were streaky but had a pretty good showing. Receivers had drops at the worst possible times- Pitta, Aiken, Waller, Perriman. Line had some struggles, but nothing too significant that I saw. I think that the number of coverage sacks was unacceptable and that theres a legitimate problem with Marty being outsmarted by even average DCs. The fact that we saw every receiver covered downfield multiple times during this game is extremely concerning to me. The offense did what they needed to on that last drive though, so I can't fault them too much. But I will say their inability to finish in the first half was fatal.

Defense: I think that the defense had some definite confidence issues. They played well in the 2nd/3rd quarters before things seemed to fall off the wheels. I definitely think that the refs didnt cut them any favors and Jimmy being out hurt them more than it initially appeared. Though I think those two factors definitely hurt the defense more than anything, I do feel like they could have taken over this game if they could have kept playing smart and disciplined towards the end of the game.

This is a game the Ravens definitely should have won, but unfortunately drops and bad reffing kept the Steelers in this game. And the Ravens didn't step up when they needed to most.

The Steelers are not a very good team and I definitely don't think they deserve to be in the playoffs. But unfortunately it happened.

In a way I want to see him given another season, but with better coordinators. Last year was kind of a write-off but between that and the 2013 season we showed far more grit than you'd expect from a team having the seasons we were having. So a better football mind or two at coordinator might be what the doctor ordered instead of firing Harbaugh.

I dunno. I don't envy the people tasked with (re)building this side.
