Week 16: The Good, the Bad and Ugly Comment/Vent/Rant Steeler version

Props to Joe on a great game today though.  He and Dixon carried the offense today.  It's a shame they couldn't convert those FGs into TDs a couple more times.  We definitely need to learn how to finish.

The Good:

- Justin Juszczyk

- Flacco played well and he put up the points good enough to win any other game.

The Bad:

- 4th Quarter

The Ugly:

- NFL allowing a reaching TD despite Brown's momentum being stopped.

- The Coaching. We will now miss the playoffs 3 out of 4 years, something needs to be done. Time for Steve to step in and clean out the coaching.

The TD was legit. Blame the pathetic defense and Dean Pees.

Such an overrated defense. Terrible, terrible. Idk if you put the blame on the play calling or the defensive players. Suggs allowed several big plays. The pass rush was NON EXISTENT.

Close to 300 yards and 3 touchdowns in the 4th qtr alone.  That's firing material.

It's not a new thing. He should've been fired ages ago.

There were "3" defenders on Brown on the last play, and they couldnt stop him from getting in! If we stop him, the clock would run out! I have never felt this terrible about a Ravens/ Steelers game!

2008 easily beats this

Flacco did everything anybody could to give his team a chance to win. The defense bent for three touchdowns in the fourth quarter. That's unacceptable and not Joe's fault.

Cj mosley and Orr handed Joe to steelers territory.  Without it, Joe had 1 good drive.  1 TD out of all that opportunity and instead dud joe got Tucker scoring majority of the points.

Vs. Eagles last week.  Our defense literally hand-plated Joe 2 TD right on eagle's endzone.  Without it, Joe did didly squat last week.

Alex Smith is our only hope. Sad.

Harbaugh and Peas should be fired before the end of the night. Unreal that this team can lose so many games in the 4th quarter. If we had any defense what so ever we easily win 2 or 3 more games this year and easily stroll in to the playoffs. Let them go and put Morningwheg in place.

The Dolphins beat the Stealers once already, and Moore isn't really a downgrade when Tannehill was the starter. They could beat the Steelers again.

Flacco was one of our best players out there.  Which is exactly what we wanted and the defense was horrendous. The defensive play calling was terrible.  Wright on Brown with cushion and no help is the definition of stuppidity

:( steve smith last game.

We should let Steve go now, and let him sign a one week contract with Carolina so he can play one final game as a Panther next week and retire as a Panther.

Like a lot of you guys said in other threads, this season was already lost way back in october.

But for this game the ravens should've taken advantage of the starting field position.

We only gonna get better on offense. Perriman, Waller, Boyle, Dixon, West, Moore, Williams, Camp.

Err I think you mean Ben did. They were two awful throws that if Joe made your be calling for him to be cut. You'd never even acknowledge there is another team making plays.

Per the rules, yes. But I hate that it is considered a TD. A receiver has to not only get both feet down in the end zone but then hold onto the ball when he falls down. It is absurd that you can just reach in from the 1 as a runner.

Noah Spence is smaller than kamalei .

Yes, but if you watch Tampa Bay games you'll see he's all over the place making an impact. Meanwhile the only thing Kamalei has impacted is the trainers tables

Dean Pees did a little bit of everything on that final drive. He played zone, press, off, blitzed, bluffed who he was bringing, brought four, and anything you can think of. The defense just got flat out beat.

Todd Haley just saw a weak link in Wright and went for it. The Ravens pass rush heavy packages (Suggs, Jernigan, Doom, Judon) couldn't get it done.

Offensively, no excuse to get into Steelers territory five times in the first half and get no points. No excuse to start on the forty twice and in the red zone twice and net 10 points. The defense gifted 10 points to the offense, but for the most part, the offense was largely ineffective. They could move the ball, but not finish.

This was a team loss. No unit lost the game. It was both sides of the ball and special teams with that blocked FG.

Really don't think it is coincidence that since Ray and Ed left, the only time we have made it to the playoffs was when another head coach came in and pretty much took over the team for a year.  Harbaugh has only squandered talent since he's been here.  We are never prepared for a single game.  We always look confused.  We are never ready to play.  We need to people to right the ship.

The fact that it took 13 games to cut Hester just shows that we don't know what we are doing.  We probably would have had 2 more wins if it weren't for his play alone.

Two good drives actually against the Steelers that went for touchdowns without the counting the turnovers. Also that doesn't take into account Pitta and Waller dropping touchdown passes.

It goes without saying that Marty will be gone. WHEN will we finally let go of Pees? WHEN? We've been seeing this for years, but Pees is always given an excuse. Fire him and go after Gus Bradley. Please!

Idk, the playoffs are a different animal.  Miami in December Pittsburgh with little experience is a tough sell.
