Baltimore gets to watch most of the league Saturday while they await their Christmas day showdown. The Buffalo Bills can keep the Ravens in the wild-card hunt if they beat the Miami Dolphins. I just want to focus on rooting for the Ravens for now.

Yeah - it is really hard to tell what we'd want anyway. I'm really not interested in seeing MIA lose, if it works out that we win out. All that will do is put PIT in the playoffs, instead of MIA. Call me crazy, but I'd rather have MIA return to M&T in the playoffs, than have to beat the Steelers for a 3rd time this year.

Of course, if we lose ... then our only chance is having MIA lose out. In that regard, I wish we played ahead of the MIA game ... that way I'd know what to root for in the MIA game.

Not sure why Mink bothered to cloud the picture by mentioning Texans or Titans. They don't matter. They play each other in week 17 and the loser of that game will be out via tie-breakers at 9-7. MIA and DEN are all that matter ...

I think it is even a stretch to worry about these other games that ensure that NE has something to play for in week 17. When was the last time NE had nothing to play for and didn't bother to try to win? NE wins in week 17 at home vs. MIA whether the rest of the world perceives that they have nothing to play for or not. I wouldn't expect a wholesale resting of starters if they have the #1 seed locked up. That's just not how the evil genius rolls.

Your first paragraph is correct. If we went 9-7, it is literally impossible for one of the AFC South teams to get the wildcard, so the Titans and Texans games don't affect our chances in any way whatsoever.

As far as the pats not resting their starters, just recently, I think it was last year, they rested their starters in week 17 and lost to the Dolphins, so they would probably do that again if they had the top spot locked up.

If Miami wins (and there winning right now) and we lose to Pittsburgh, our season is over. Nothing else we could do to get in the playoffs. So you win in Pittsburgh or go home. We should've beaten a team like the Jets and that might come back to bite us.

I see that Buffalo is winning now with the score of 28-31 with over minute left. So that's good news.

So, the Jets, Bills and now the Bengals....ALL failed the Ravens with their losses today huh?

If anything, THIS should show that these teams CAN'T COUNT ON other teams to "help" them when they need it most.

RAVENS?

GO HELP YOURSELVES....BEAT THE STEELERS!!!!

Huh ... I just didn't think it would be in the Pats nature to do anything but humiliate an opponent - especially one in the division. I guess he learned his lesson when Welker went down in a meaningless game at the end of the season.

Oh well, doesn't really matter now.
