Why is no one can talking about (TE) O.J Howard?

Pitta's rarely productive nowadays and that contract needs to be moved, Gillmore and Boyle are backup TE's, and Maxx has had Eugene Monroe injury rate levels. Getting a great receiving tight end would do wonders for this offense.

Howard is probably going too high. A good TE could be useful, but I wouldn't want to spend a first round pick on one. I'd rather get a guy like Cole Hikutini later on in the draft.

Howard is a beast, if I wanted a TE in the 1st I'd be all over him. But the front office has invested an insane amount into TE and they can't continue doing that while ignoring certain positions year after year. I'd prefer to cut Pitta and Watson (wow those were bad contracts) then just roll with Williams, Gillmore, Boyle and Waller.

Maxx according to the doctors was capable of playing through the injury. We shut him down for the year to prevent further agrevation(smart since it was a cartilage injury). Too early to say he's Monroe 2.0.

I love me some OJ Howard, but he's not he guy we need now. If we draft him, cool. If not I understand that there are more important needs. We need to fix the oline and find a pass rusher.

That's pretty much where I stand with OJ Howard. Think I heard something during one of the Alabama playoff games last year that he could play as a wide receiver, giving a team a big body possession guy on the out side, how far from the truth is that?

Howard is a straight up luxury pick, one we can't afford to make. He's going to go higher than he should and we've invested a lot into TE already, if we take a TE I doubt it'll be anywhere near as high as the second round.

Evan engram is considered a TE but he's much more of a slot receiver at the next level. He wouldn't be considered a luxury pick.

Roll with Waller the queen of losing focus.. Boyle Mr. PED... Pitta you can't be serious, and Watson is my age. Our TE's aren't playmakers just JAG's. I'll let you continue though

we picked Maxx way to high to just draft another one in my opinion. I say we get Boyle and Maxx involved next year and see what they can do

That's how Bucky Hodges is, but I can't see us taking Hodges because it'd require a second rounder, maybe a trade up in the second.

Maxx, we need to see what he can do. We traded up for him, lost a season due to Flacco and Co. being hurt and then this season

I haven't watching Engram so I really couldn't say one way or another concerning him

OJ Howard and Jake Butt are the only 2 TEs I'd consider early, and even that's pushing it.  I think we need more of a true WR than some of the other guys mentioned.  Howard and Butt are so developed in both facets of the game, and I think both of them could have a strong impact.  I like guys like Engram and Hodges, but I wouldn't place near as high of a value on them.  I just don't think they're what the team needs at this point.

Not my fault you can't read. I clearly said cut Pitta and Watson but sure just ignore that. I don't think the TE's are anything special, but neither is WR and OLB. And we can't win until the interior OL and CB depth is addressed. Gillmore is okay. Boyle is actually pretty good, and I'm not sure why you're just assuming he'll get another suspension. There's a lot of areas of need and it'll be hard to hit them all. I'll let you continue though.

I'd draft Jake Butt for name value alone

I actually think that there are a lot of good TEs in this class and it's been difficult for O.J. Howard to stick out with so few targets.

IMO....from watching quite a few games....David Njoku is the best TE in this draft. He looks like a 6-4 250 WR when he gets the ball and would love to see him Ravens purple. Howard has specs and skills....just not a ton of targets which makes me unsure. On a side note Jake Butt was injuried in his bowl game and as a result he will probably miss his workouts.......could pick him in the 2nd or later.....thats assumming his injury doesnt scare us away.

Am I the only one that was enjoying Waller starting to get involved later in the season?

Absolutely not. I like the fact they counted on him in the RZ as a slant target.
