With dipping ratings, the NFL should schedule these games as one of the Thanksgiving games and then always set it as the last Monday night game week 17.

I get your point, but there are is no Monday night game Week 17. (probably because the playoffs start Saturday and that would be an even shorter week)  The Sunday night game for Week 17 is a game that can be flexed on 6 days notice to guarantee it has playoff implications.

With dipping ratings the NFL should get their heads out of their butts and air this game on network tv so everyone can watch it. I cut the cord years ago and the NFL is the only thing that I am interested in that still doesnt get where the future of broadcasting is. I'll give you a hint, it isnt paying for cable or satellite. With nfl viewership dropping I wonder if nfl network, espn and pay tv in general is experiencing viewership rates dropping as well? That would tell the tale.

Given the underachieving this year- on many accounts, I wont be surprised if were taken to the Steeler woodshed. With a HEALTHY Roethlisberger, and the way we ended the last time we played (at home) I don't have a cozy feling....in fact, I sense a silent-night in Bmore.
Contrary, I am a devout Ravens fan and will root them on till the end- however, I do my best not to set myself up for a crushing disappointment. In CQ1's way of thinking- if we DO win- I'll be twice as elated as most of you.
Lets hope it is not a silent night in Bmore.
Please pick it up in Pittsburgh! GO RAVENS !

It's surpirsing how few analysts list penalties as a critical factor in this game. I'm pretty sure thatr our chances of winning start and end with limiting the number of penalties - especially the unnecessary ones - and now I'm looking at you, Vlad Ducasse, Timmy Jernigan and Steve Smith...

Penalties are a factor, but IMO the more important factor by far is offensive output. If our offense falls flat then we're gonna lose. Period. Look at the game vs the Jets- Ravens only had 4 penalties for 35 yards (miraculous by this year's standards). But since Flacco and the offense did NOTHING, the Ravens lost. Given the fact that Ben, Bell and Brown will all be healthy this time and Jimmy Smith will be out, I see this as a game where the Steeler offense will put up big numbers and Flacco & Company will have to keep up if the Ravens are going to win.

I agree with you, I also cut the cord years ago. It's just not the NFL- all sports are seriously behind the times. And it's not like I wouldn't pay either - they don't even offer (why would I pay to watch every team except for the one I root for).

But, the game WILL be broadcast OTA on NBC-11 WBAL.

no jimmy smith makes me very nervous. we can win this game but have to limit the stupid drive killing penalties and flacco has to get in one of his zones. hopefully the d can fore turnovers and the return game has some big returns. go ravens!!

"ALOT" of people like and want to take the Ravens but they have lost games they should have won and really shouldn't be in this situation at all! Should be 11-3! Joe is fired up now and I want him to you guess it "KEEP SLINGING THAT ROCK" and if he adds more pump fakes to his repertoire the Lombardi Trophy will be rite there! We are the only AFC team that can beat the pats! THEY DONT WANT US TO WIN

Dude come on... 496 yards of total offense allowed to the pats. I bet you the pats wished they played the Ravens 3 times in the playoffs. They will cream us over and over again. The scoreboard didnt paint an accurate picture of what really happened in that game. We got manhandled in every phase of the game. Byrne said the team was fired up for the showdown in NE, yeah they sure showed us. Now Byrne is saying the team is fired up for the Steelers on Xmas. Looks like Big Ben is hanging 6TDs on us AGAIN!

If they were smart they would have a Ravens Steelers game in England in 017

Yes but we're still standing aren't we? Don't watch if you think we will be slaughtered. Wouldn't want you to see those 6 TDs. Go Ravens!!

I totally agree. I would pay to watch the Ravens and Orioles live online without thinking twice. I already pay for game pass but its not very enjoyable watching after 8 or the next day. Sunday afternoon just has its own feel. I get what you're saying about WBAL. Just wish I still lived in range for that signal.

Who cares what these so called "experts" think. They have been hanging off the Steelers, Pats. Cowboys and Seahawks jocks for so long that they are permanently attached. It's never bothered us before so why should it now. If anything it should add fuel to the fire.
