[News] Christmas Classic In The Making? Not Your Average Ravens-Steelers Game

Wouldn't it be nice if the Ravens put up around 40 points this week. Just so no one ends up having a heart attack on Christmas.

Were going to have to put up a lot of points because our secondary is going to get destroyed. No need for them to force the run when they can spread us out an win against our man or zone coverage. We just don't have enough quality corners. I've been saying this for years, it's so hard to watch..smh

1st play of the game gotta be a pass and do not let up! Out of 10 plays two no more than three gotta be runs West and KD will get big chunks and Juice will get his! "ALL" WRs need be be ready to get some touches TEs etc! "BALL DISTRIBUTION" should be 10 plus different people all the way to the Super Bowl!
430pm game The Ravens will be wide awake!

Are you serious? Why would you wish for this game to be a shootout when our Oline is struggling and our secondary is without its best player?

Our chances in a low scoring game are much better than our chances in a shootout. Just my humble opinion

What would be nice, or should I say AWSOME, is to see a slant to Mike Wallace and watch him burn their secondary like he used to do to us when he was with them. That would be the ultimate first offensive play for the Ravens.

OK: Now. Try this on for size........

(To the tune of "All I Want for Christmas is my two front teeth")

All I want for Christmas is to beat Pittsburgh...

To SWEEP Pittsburgh...

To Ruin Pittsburgh !

All I want for Christmas is to beat Pittsburgh....

So we can move on to the Bungals.

See if that don't stick in your head.

Merry Christmas, Ravenation !!!

I truly only want one gift this year. Just a win. I don't care if it is by one point. That is not asking too much as I am on the nice list. I sent my request to Santa. I expect him to deliver.

Come on, its our Ravens we're talkin' about here. IF the O put up 40, the D would give up 39!!

I keep thinking this has all the makings of Charles Dickens Christmas Carol where Roethlisberger is visited by 3 purple ghosts and he gets real grumpy but by end of the game realizes generosity and throws us a goose in the shape of a football. We score and the game ends on a climactic Tucker extra point where the camera pans in on Harbs proud face then back to Justin who's been hosted up on Ravens linesmen shoulders and he says into the camera...and thus the American, and worldwide audience, "Merry Christmas and God bless us, every one!" ...but maybe that's just me.

Do you mean a slant kinda like this?

It would sure be a nice Christmas present to see that again.  Mike Mitchells speed left him a long time ago. He is certainly vulnerable out there.  If he takes a bad angle there is no way he is going to be able to catch Wallace.

So why get all these weapons and run it up the middle?! It's the pass that is opening it up for the run and thinking the Ravens have to run to be successful is what's holding them back! "KEEP SLINGING THAT ROCK"!

It's time for EVERY player to step up his game this Sunday. No more talk, just action and smart football. We have heard enough of Flacco and his ho-hum jargon after he plays a so-so game. Time to put YOUR head into the games and show up as the Flacco we expect to see on the field. You got your money up front, now do the right thing and prove that you are worth the price. This is supposedly the time of year that you shine, so DO IT. Otherwise, can the blasé rhetoric when the game and the season is over. So far the real star is Tucker and we can count on him week in and week out.

Got to agree with you Ballsohard. The main fear I have is that secondary getting torched all day long. Of course Joe will throw in a few INT's or fumbles. I sure hope that I am wrong on both issues. But, this season has been anything but one to keep you thinking positive with this team.

I'm kinda hoping Ravens players have learned from all the mistakes made this year and can step up but with Jimmy rotating in and out so much continuity could still be a issue.

His absence wont help but a big plus will be if Alex is a go and Vlad is on the bench

It will be interesting to see what the plan with Lewis is.  Assuming Yanda's shoulder isn't healthy enough to go back to RG, the question is whether it makes sense to put Lewis at RG.  My understanding is that Lewis hasn't played that position since high school, so that would be VERY tough to have your first game at RG since HS at Heinz Field...But I do think Vlad is our weakest link....I guess it depends on what is going on in practice, which us fans don't get to see (and even the media sees very little)

While watching UTube,I noticed Joe Flacco during the 2012 and 14 seasons. His footwork and desire to step up and out of the pocket was crisp He should have developed more play making from the shotgun, so the Steelers don't end up in his helmet grill. I hope he takes it to them. Go Ravens

I hate losing to the steelers but nothing would be worse then losing to the Steelers on christmas day. I wish we could come out firing and keep a 21 point lead the whole game. lol I know it funny to read that.

we lost to the jets this year what can we really expect?

O My goodness!!!! That's one of the biggest things this year that he won't do!!! I noticed it a LONG time ago. If we can see that why hasn't it been coached. He either needs to use more shotgun or step up when the rush comes so wide. For some reason I think he has a ton of confidence going into this game. So Stoked!!
