O-line is key to keeping big ben on the bench. We need breaks maybe 3 turnovers to win or long scoring drives with Tucker just kicking extra points. Go Joe,out play big ben and hope Elvis and T-sizzle play like young lions again.

Watching our team on Sundays has been frustrating- to say the least. What will Christmas Day be like ? A Ravens victory- or do we start filling our bags with coal to send to Owings Mills ?
Santa is just going to have to deal with milk of magnesia (MOM) with his cookies for this year.

Win or lose you know they will give their all. Go Ravens.

If Jimmy Smith misses this game (or is playing hurt) our chances diminish significantly. Either way we need to bolster our CB position over the off-season. Smith has proven injury prone his entire career and there is a big drop-off when he isn't healthy. It seems like the FO should have done this over the prior off-season.

Couldn't agree with you more on this one. The drop off in the teams defense when Smith hasn't been on the field has been completely night and day. Opposing QBs have picked apart Wright and Powers. CB is a big need going forward, and we'll be losing Steve Smith, potentially Williams, while mainstays like Suggs and Doom get older. I get the feeling this is a now or rebuild year for our Ravens. Hopefully we'll get 2 wins in 2 weeks but I'd be lying if I said I like our chances with Smith sidelined.....

Jimmy Smith was healthy enough to be at a tailgate I was attending on Sunday instead of rehabbing his ankle 100% of the time. Found that quite surprising

You can only rehab it so much.  Geez the man still has a life!!

SMITH has never played a full season and never has been a true raven, atleast WEBB plays through pain,if smith breaks a toe nail he doesn't practice or play,i hope we draft a qb with the first pick and another corner opposite TAVON YOUNG,a real corner!

Yes we will miss Jimmy Smith if he doesn't play on Sun against a very potent Steeler passing game . But to my recollection neither he nor wright have an interception this season !

I had a KC sighting last week.....whiffing on a special teams tackle. Our next Arthur Brown.

I was screaming at the TV for Sterling. Too early to call him a AB type of bust but it doesn't look great right now

Here we go again! No jimmy smith means a long day for the secondary. It will be hard to watch especially in the fourth quarter when we need to make a stop on defense an our corners give up a big play. I really hope our front office puts some kinda effort into improving the secondary next season because I don't no how much more I can take. Every year it's the same thing, jimmy gets hurt an the secondary looks disgusting.

If Jimmy Smith doesn't play let only Tavon Young stick him due to having the same height as Antonio Brown. I don't trust Wright or anyone else at corner.

I really like Jimmy and think he could be a top CB in this league if he stays healthy. I also empathize because I it's not his fault that he's injury prone. Normally, I'd say stay out till your 100% but now it's all or nothing. We need Jimmy to suck it up, tape that ancle up and give it a go. Heck, super glue that ancle if you have to!

I once suffered a terrible ancle sprain and it kept coming back all season. When we reached the semi final, i wore the weirdest brace, sucked it up and begged the coach to give me a chance. I somehow finished with my brothers and was in horrible pain for 10 days till the final. Then sucked it up again and played! I stunk it up in the final and literally limped till the coach took me out and we lost. But I swear to god I would do it again 10 times out of 10 if I had a do over.

How can you call yourself a competitor and watch your brothers from the sideline when they are fighting for their life? I truily believe that Jimmy will try his best on game day to play because of how pissed off he was when he got hurt. He even tried to comeback in but couldn't. If he doesn't, I'd have serious doubts about his competitive nature.

Get well soon Jimmy, you still have a few more days. Then get used to it because you will never forgive yourself if your brothers lose and you could have done something about it

Although having a healthy Jimmy out there playing would allow us more coverage options in the D backfield, I have confidence in the other players to do their jobs. Will there be plays made against them, sure. The objective is to minimize big plays which I feel they will be able to accomplish.

I was hoping to hear that Jimmy was a least a limited participant. I guess that was just wishful thinking on my part. I assume now that Sunday is probably out of the question.

I agree to, but I have a feeling Jimmy is out for the regular season.  No, I don't have any inside information on this...just a gut feeling.  They said it was a "significant ankle injury"  Opinions seem to guess that it was a high ankle sprain.  When Lewis was diagnosed with high ankle sprain, they said it was a 6 week injury.  First round of playoffs (if we make it) is right at 4 weeks.  I realistically think this is the earliest possible time we could see Jimmy play.

AGAIN-I repeat--This is MY GUT FEELING, not a medical opinion because I have no clue the severity of the injury or even exactly what the injury is.

Everyone is saying we are going to lose this game. (I'm in deep enemy territory near D.C.). But I have a gut feeling that we will win. I hope we do. And I really hope Jimmy can play. Without him our secondary is so much different.

I agree with you 100%. I think week 1 of the playoffs is the earliest we see him. Week 2 probably makes more sense. If we take care of business and get a home playoff game, maybe we'll play a team like KC where JImmy's absent wouldn't be a complete disaster week 1 of the dance

if he and perriman do not pan out than bisciotti needs to evaluate the front office and possibly make some changes. too many flops since 2009. to not have drafted or traded for a 2nd cb is a shame knowing how often brittle jimmy gets injured and how the defense struggles when he is out. need everyone in the secondary to elevate their game. need to win out and the whole team knows this. go ravens!!

What's the deal with this Correa kid? He seems to be taking on the path of Arthur Brown. The Kaufusi kid is yet an unknown but the rest of the draft has been very productive with the exception of Keenan Reynolds.

More like week 1 of the 2017 season is the earliest you will see Jimmy on the field. He will be out for 4-6 weeks and the Ravens life support runs dry this Xmas Sunday. And the only person responsible for this mess is John Harbaugh with his piss poor game management and overly aggressive moronic coaching style with such an inept group of players.

One good thing about Jimmy being out, at least we'll see if any of theses other guys can step up in critical games. Maybe we can find another guy to replace Jimmy since he is hurts so much.

if you go thru all our drafts there are a lot of flops. Same way with every other team. No ones draft is 100% or even 50%. We have done better than most teams.

I've been wondering the same. He's been a ghost all season. If he's a bust and Myles Jack turns into a star, I'll be super pissed.

I put the end of game failures on the front 7. They all look tired and worn out. What will Joe and the O do to get them more rest? We need to win TOP this week. The Ravens have not been winning this very important stat much this season...
