Pro bowl snubs?

Congrats to juice Mosley yanda and tucker.

But I feel weddle, suggs, Brandon Williams, possibly jimmy smith even though he doesn't have interceptions but still deserves a nod IMO! And Timmy jernigan. 

Maybe I'm forgetting a guy or 2 but I feel these guys were snubbed especially weddle and Williams! Zach orr is another worthy mention. Thoughts???

The ones I'm mad about not making it are Orr, Weddle and Williams.

I agree. Especially weddle and Williams. Arguably the best safety and NT in the league and barely ever mentioned.

We're 8-6 but you think our entire team should get in?

Brandon Williams is just one of those players that doesn't get the credit he deserves. You barely ever hear his name mentioned by the broadcasting teams which reduces the chances of people noticing him IMO. It's just a glorified popularity contest when it comes to some of the selections.

The only one I'm extremely upset about is Weddle. Best safety in the league right now. 

I think you can make a case for Jimmy with the way the defense falls off without him. That alone shows how good he is.

I think Timmy is really good, but the DT positions are kinda stacked in both divisions, so while I think he's in that top 6-8 range, he's got to be top 3.

Williams just isn't a premiere pass rusher and he has even less of a case than Jernigan.

I can't think of anyone outside of Weddle that made me livid.

Not all. You must have completely missed the point of the thread. Not surprised lol. I was naming snubs of guys who had a real chance of making it. Jimmy Smith is a legit shut down corner who literally changes the way our defense plays. He's held the leagues best in check over and over again. He just doesn't have the flashy INT numbers. Maybe because he doesn't see a lot of balls thrown his way. Brandon Williams is arguably the best run stuffer in the NFL. I agree with what you said about him nothing else needs to be said. Eric weddle is IMO the biggest snub. He has the numbers and production to be all pro but he's a #2 Alternate meaning 2 other guys have to pull out or miss for him to make it. That's just disrespectful to a player of his caliber. Zach orr is another player similar to jimmy smith. He has the tackles he has 2 picks and a few other stats but he goes unnoticed. He arguably could of made it or missed it just like he did but I thought he had a good shot. If he had a already established like Mosley maybe he could of gotten there. My point of the post is we have good players who had a real shot of making it depending on who u ask so yes IMO I believe our defense is full of potential pro bowlers. Again it depends on who u ask. We have multiple players with the talent but like every year multiple players get robbed. Like you said its a popularity contest and I don't take it serious at all.

Nelson had 60 tackles and 4 picks to weddles 81 tackles a sack and 4 picks. Plus weddle is way more valuable to the defense then nelson is. There is no reason nelson made it over weddle. Its beyond me man smh.

Even beyond the stats, he's just been all over and has changed the face of the defense. Safety went from the biggest weak link on the defense to arguably a position of strength up there with DL and it's largely due to Weddle.

I don't know how the votes were split between safeties but there's only one spot at SS and that one went to Berry, which isn't too far fetched at all. Nelson is listed on AFC pro bowl as FS.

Weddle is the only snub, though it's a big one. Jimmy would have had a strong case if he didn't miss games. Williams was probably outside of the top 20 DT's honestly. His impact is really overrated by some here.

Weddle is the only obvious one here. He's been arguably the best S in the league this year. 

There are some other guys on our team that I'd like to see make it, but based on the guys that did make it, I don't see any snubs. There are a lot of good players across the league that are just as deserving.

Totally crazy that Weddle didn't get voted into the pro bowl.  He's had a great year.  It Truly is a shame.

Yeah, they really should change it to just a S rather than trying to keep the FS and SS designations. Those are a bit useless nowadays since most safeties switch back and forth in what role they play, depending on the gameplan for that week.

Weddle should have made it. I think Williams, Weddle, Suggs, and Pitta(for some reason) made it as alternate.

And as much as I like Orr... no. Who cares about tackles? Pat Angerer lead the NFL in tackles several years ago. And where is he now? Nowhere. If you need proof, look at the defense without CJ
