[News] Ravens Have Season's Best Rushing Day In Win Over Eagles

26 posts in this topic

Their one somewhat long run aside, than for the rest of their carries both averaged about 2 1/2 yards per carry. Really not much to talk about. Certainly not 1st down worthy.

OK notwithstanding West's 41 yd run which I believe went for naught ; West and Dixon had 22 carries for 72 yds. Most of the time we wound up 2nd and 3rd and long . So one can utilize stats to make any point whether its about stocks, metals , weather or football . Watching the game told the story . Both our offense and defense has to play much better next /sun against the Steelers if we expect to make the playoffs .

Squealers vs. Ravens. On Christmas Day. For the Division. Does it get any better than that?

Well, you only get to watch it if you have the NFL network - which means most Ravens fans can't watch this game. Shame on you NFL & the Raven's Organization! Stevie B made a fortune being on the cutting edge of progress, now his organization and the NFL are living in the past hoping to keep ratings up for bigger TV deals. Get with the 21st century - we stream, we Netflix, we Hulu and if you force us to pick between watching the Ravens and paying $250 a month for a bloated Cable package, you're going to lose ratings and alienate fans. That's a flawed business model.

"Not being cocky or anything, but one guy is never going to tackle me.” I like your attitude, son.

Hell yeah, the guy was overshadowed by Mr. Reynolds so he plays with that extra chip on his shoulder and boy he's ballin!!! He isn't being cocky, he just knows he is strong enough to run thru you. He welcomes the contact and he breaks tackles on the regular. He is the future RB for this franchise and we need to find a coach somewhere who is willing to punish opponents by running the ball. SAID NO RAVENS FAN EVER lol

To even have a shot on Sunday, our defense needs to perform like it did for the most part of the first 14 games. We must completely shut out Bell, force Ben to look for Brown and pray we can limit their aerial assault w/o Jimmy in the lineup.

Otherwise it might not matter if we were to rush for 200 yards and Flacco threw for another 300. We would still probably be out performed offensively.

My point is, we can't allow it to become a shootout. Even if we could keep up with the Steelers in that style of game, it would come down to who can score more TDs. And I haven't been exactly filled with confidence when watching our offense go at it in the red zone.

The run game was close to perfect against the Eagles. That doesn't necessarily mean that it will have the same success against other teams. I still want to see us attempt to establish the run each game and think we should ride it more often when it proves to be working.

I think the run defense suffers from not having Jimmy Smith in their. They have to allocate resources to cover for Shareece Wrights liabilities. It felt like they were playing Zone defense instead of Man to man. Without Jimmy Smith you can't shut down Bell and Brown, you can only hope to contain them.

I wish you could tell the Ravens coaches that.

. Ravens offense has serious Chemistry issues and all you got to do is watch their reactions during the game. Watch Joe's reaction just before SSS long touchdown pass as Joe looks to the sidelines for the play. Ravens are going to get yet another OC .

That interception would have been avoided if Joe thought about this game as the best team rushing game of the season and depended on that fact.. The sportscaster Daryl Johnson gave more credibility to Dixon and West than the coaching staff j

If Harbaugh could use Bellichicks schemes we may be able to to win the last two games. Camp used as a "Welker" could succeed with short dump passes and slot work. We need trickery and deception. The Offense tends to play bland and conservative.

Depending on the run game will make the Ravens "PREDICTABLE" all over again! The run is getting better because they have to open up the their Defense for fear of Joe's arm! This is not rocket science! Keep slinging that Rock and "HUGE" chunks will come!

We need to pass to set up the run, our oline isn't a power run blocking line since KO left. Pees is going to Need a rally good scheme this time around to ty an make up for jimmy smith being hurt. Offense has to score some kind of points on every drive.

The offense is so insanely bland I don't understand it. We should definitely use Camp more. And just get more creative and diverse in general. We should use some of those interesting/trick plays Hue used to do with the Bengals quite often. Helps with Pass protection too. This, and if we can get Joe to step up in the pocket
