Yes or No. Do we make the playoffs?

And I agree but I am afraid because when Jimmy Smith has gone down every game the team no longer looks the part of a top 5 rush defense... I think if the Steelers are without Ladarius Green with his concussion that will help a lot and the team can use Weddle more on the back end. This might have to be a game like last year where Bell had a huge game but the Ravens always kept the Steelers in front of them to win. The team can still win as long as they limit Brown. If it becomes a shoot out there is no way this team's offense can keep up.

I slightly disagree that Brown is our biggest concern as I feel it's more important to limit Bell. Brown averages 7 catches a game with > than 1 TD per. Bell touches the ball 28 times a game both rushing and receiving on average. Limiting Bell will make them more 1 dimensional which could play right into our hands.

You could make an argument both ways. I still think Brown can torch this defense. Reasons why the team hasn't really had to worry too much about Brown in the past was because Jimmy Smith has locked him down for the most part. Bell got 150 yards from scrimmage and still won last season but limiting the big play of Brown is going to be huge. The last thing the Ravens need is for Brown to put up an AJ Green type game against the team. The Ravens have already struggled with Dez Bryant and Odell Beckham when Jimmy Smith was out.

I think we make it as a Wild Card going 9-7.

Miami, with a backup QB, loses next 2.  We own head to head tiebreaker.

Denver goes 9-7.  We have tiebreaker with better conference record.

Buffalo goes 9-7.  We have tiebreaker with head to head win.

Tenn goes 9-7.  We have tiebreaker with better conference record.

Lol, so some people think we'll beat the Steelers in Pittsburgh but lose to the Bengals in Cincinnati, even though Heinz Field is one of the toughest places to play, where tons of good to great teams have lost at.... Got ya.

The only game that I'm worried about is Miami at Buffalo this week. If that happens, I think all the Ravens have to do is win 1 of 2. Also, we have the tiebreaker over the Texans too, just incase they go 9-7 and the Titans win the division.

Yep, if buffalo takes care of business I think we have a definite backup route to punch our ticket to the dance. Its a shame that the jets couldn't do us a favor, and even more of a shame that the cardinals came back and tied them and got the ball with a minute left and still lost. Lets just hope Rex and company fight their tails off. He is trying to keep a job. Need a big game from shady and tyrod. Be our luck if they lost to the bills and somehow beat the pats lol. Who does Oakland play this week? If they win the pats will be fighting for the number #1 seed week 17...even though I think they'd win regardless. But all of this still means nothing if we don't win atleast one. And we're still shooting for the division anyway. Can't lie I'd feel much better knowing there's an alternate route though. I also would've felt much better if freakin cinci held on last week making this game a true "win and your in" for us. May the best team win.

Oakland has the Colts at home.

No playoffs this year IMO. I just don't see this team winning both of the next two games- especially on the road and especially without their top CB.

X2, sorry

Great news guys.  AJ probably plays week 17.  It's a Festivus miracle!

I don't know why the Bengals even bother playing AJ Green. He is by far their best player... It may be wise for them to just sit him the rest of the year since they are eliminated from the playoffs. But if he does play that will be a huge problem for the Ravens.

I hope he plays, we need to start beating them like the average team they are. No more sloppy games against that team.

I've just been wondering....when will the Ravens EVER win the 1st seed in the AFC so that they could have homefield advantage throughout the playoffs?

Hey Mili, right there with you brother. We've been waiting for that for 20 damn years (in my best Mili voice). I guess we're just going to have to wait for Tom Brady to turn 67 and decide to finally retire from football. :th_consoling2:

I'm serious Rav'n.  It's been a long time man! :th_shame:

I'm getting so sick and tired of always seeing the Patriots lock up home field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs.

As much as AJ Green wants to play through hamstring injury, Bengals not expected to let him play in either of final two games, per source. - Adam Schefter

In all seriousness and as a PSL owner, it has been on my wish list since the beginning. I would love nothing more then to hear "The Playoffs Go Through Baltimore". I've been to every Ravens game since they arrived including the playoffs at "The Bank" and would totally enjoy a AFC Championship being played in our house.

Same here!

It would be nice to see them lock up the #1 seed for once!

Head to heads only mean something when only those 2 teams are tied. When its 3 or more with same record head to head means nothing.

In this case that's true. But if any one of the teams has beaten or got beaten by both the other teams, the head-to-head applies.

well, there is some merit to that thought process. we play pitt way better than we play cincy, the past couple years anyway.

That depends on if the Ravens would have a head to head over both teams because if so that is the lead tiebreaker.

For this tiebreaker the Ravens would have it though due to a 5-1 division record.

Come on Bills. I do NOT want to go into tomorrows game knowing that if we lose, we're eliminated. If the Bills win, I say there's an 80% chance that all we have to do is beat the Steelers or Bengals to make the playoffs.

The Bills have no clue how to tackle. And they really need to learn how to fight for extra yards.

Can't even blame the Bills much. The Dolphins have had 1 penalty called against them this whole game. Thats a miracle considering how much their OL has blatantly held this game.

True. At least the Bills aren't going down with a fight. A stop here and they'll have a chance to tie it up.
