I AM LEGEND

Yes or No. Do we make the playoffs?

Not gonna lie. This team has the makeup of the kind of team that wins on Sunday, only to lose to the Bengals the following week and miss out on the playoffs entirely.

I WAS THINKING THE SAME THING LOL..... Beating Pittsburgh then losing to Cincinnati... Then praying on the couch for other teams to lose....

This team looking back has been pretty terrible when put in the 'control your own destiny' situations lol

I was thinking the same thing. I also was considering if they are able to win both and lock up the division, will they be mentally exhausted heading into the playoffs.

if we stick to the running game and our secondary holds up, we can beat both teams, but that will not happen b/c we have horrible coaching staff that dont adjust in-games, get away from the run game, and inconsistent scondary. the only reason we win vs pit last time, because pit didn't challenge our secondary, they did late and almost came back, so this game they will challenge our secondary big time.

I say yes, we make the playoffs after squeaking by our next two games with close Ws. Once the playoffs start, who the hell knows what our team will look like.

If Dolphins beat the Bills on Saturday, it doesn't matter (for us) the result of the NE-Miami game.  The NE-Miami game I think depends on if NE is still playing for homefield.  Raiders have the tiebreak, so if Raiders win in Week 16, Patriots have to win in Week 17 to keep #1 seed (unless Oakland loses--but they play the 4:00 game that final Sunday)

oh, didn't know oak had the tiebreaker, interesting, bills will win then, so i guess we have a chance, we just need to take care business.

Yeah, definitely a lot of things to watch.  I'm also hoping the Chiefs beat the Broncos this week...because if they don't, Raiders will have division locked up and if NE beats Miami (1:00 game--which if they don't, we're done anyway), Oakland may rest their starters (Carr is banged up)  Bottom line is we can hope and pray all these things happen, but if we win our next 2, we are in (and have a home game in playoffs)!

No playoffs this year IMO. I just don't see this team winning both of the next two games- especially on the road and especially without their top CB.

This team will rise to the occasion on Sunday.  I'll be there yelling my head off!  So many things can change due to injury potential or injured players returning to the lineup (Smith, Lewis) week to week........Need to go 1-0 on Sunday, and worry about the Bengals after the results.

My hope is we make the playoffs.  My first concern is the Steelers.  Only game that matters at this point!

Before I even get to how ludicrous that highlighted item is, let me first say .... the dolphins don't have to win out. If they win at BUF, then it won't matter what NE does. Now ... on what the Pats will do in the final week ... if the Raiders beat Indy ... then NE has to win out to get the #1 seed. So I'm pretty sure they'll care about their game against the Dolphins.

Even if the Raiders lose to Indy and NE clinches the #1 seed before week 17, do you really think it is in the Pats nature to throw a game? Do you think they'll want the impression that they did that because .. .why? Because they're afraid of the Ravens? Did we give them any reason to be afraid of us when we last met? I think they'd relish another opportunity to show that they are in a totally different class than we are. I'm sure that organization is tired of hearing how we're some sort of kryptonite for their organization in the playoffs.

I can see us backing in as a wild card,  winning the first game convincingly, everybody starts talking about January Joe ect...then having a meltdown the following week in a very winnable game.

Then we pick in the 20's in the draft, trade out of the first round to pick two very average, non deecript players in the 2nd round..one will earn a big contract in FA in his last season here..the second will show brief flashes of potential, but will ultimately vanish from the lineup after work ethic issues land him in harbaughs infamous dog house.

I'm still waiting for literally anybody to show me an example of the "John Harbaugh dog house" actually existing.

To me, it seems like a fairy tale. Its something fans conjured up to make themselves feel better about coaching decisions that they don't understand.

I have the same feeling like u guys; we will beat the Pitts but lose to the Bengals then missing out the playoffs...We can't control our own destiny, even we are given the driver seat....

It's just sad.........

I hope whoever is fielding kickoffs ALWAYS and I mean always takes a knee and we start on the 25 yard line...

tired of biting my nails every damn time the ball is kicked praying it goes into the end zone and we stay there instead of running it out.... Seems whenever we run it out we don't get much and then on top of it we either fumble or have a penalty that moves us back to like the 5 yard line... And when we are that far back it seems we always get stuck back there and when we punt the ball the other team gets great field position....

I see no reason for us or any team to ever run the ball out.... The only time would be if a team is down by at least 14 points or near the end of the game and has to hoping to have a TD... Or try to get into field goal range to tie or win the game....

I want to point out the irony of jacket asking for an example of a situation then you just listing names.

You listed a bunch of names. What specifically was done to them that makes fans think they "frequented the doghouse"?

I'm guessing some of the players you mentioned were benched via some sort of on-field or off-field performance issue. In which case, you've now got justification for the benching (not that justification was needed to begin with) and we're back to my original premise of fans creating a fairy tale to explain something they don't understand.

History has shown that since we won the Super Bowl in 2012, we miss the playoffs every year we play at Cincy in week 17. The NFL must be infatuated with us playing at Cincy, huh? 5 times in the last 6 seasons? Crazy.

Um NO.

Why you ask?

Because we dont coach like a Raven, therefore we dont play like Ravens.

Coach Harbs says we are a gritty hard nosed smart football team that grinds it out.

Yet, we have failed to grind out a running game all year. Even when we should be running, Coach Bystander/Harbaugh just watches the horrible pass play calls leading to picks, or incompletes, meanwhile you have talented backs able to get the job done running the ball.

Then, on the other side of the ball, your front seven is getting gashed on the ground, and you Coach Bystander, let it continue with zero adjustments.

BOTTOM LINE: You WONT Run the ball, and Cant stop the run. Not the team you proclaim what playing like a Raven should be.

How about coach like a Raven instead of being a Bystander.

I hope A LOT of you are wrong.  I really can't call it one way or another.  Even if we do make the playoffs, I'd be surprised if we got out of the 1st round even with a home game.

I get your point of saying that we WONT run the ball...not going to argue with that point...we are 28th in rushing:  http://www.nfl.com/stats/categorystats?tabSeq=2&offensiveStatisticCategory=RUSHING&conference=ALL&role=TM&season=2016&seasonType=REG&d-447263-s=RUSHING_YARDS_PER_GAME_AVG&d-447263-o=2&d-447263-n=1

But, saying we can't stop the run is a HUGE over-reaction to 1 bad game by this rushing defense...we are still #2 against the run:  http://www.nfl.com/stats/categorystats?tabSeq=2&defensiveStatisticCategory=RUSHING&conference=ALL&role=OPP&season=2016&seasonType=REG&d-447263-s=RUSHING_YARDS_PER_GAME_AVG&d-447263-o=1&d-447263-n=1

I agree that the Steelers are better than the Eagles at every position on the offensive side of the ball

BUT

I am not sounding the alarm on the Ravens #2 ranked run defense after 1 sub-par game (out of 14)

That's all I'm saying.  Obviously, this is an extremely tough game (especially since it appears we will be without Jimmy), but I have confidence in our run defense based on body of work this season.  Pass defense---that's where I'm scared.

And I agree but I am afraid because when Jimmy Smith has gone down every game the team no longer looks the part of a top 5 rush defense... I think if the Steelers are without Ladarius Green with his concussion that will help a lot and the team can use Weddle more on the back end. This might have to be a game like last year where Bell had a huge game but the Ravens always kept the Steelers in front of them to win. The team can still win as long as they limit Brown. If it becomes a shoot out there is no way this team's offense can keep up.
